Commentary
آیت 224 وَالشُّعَرَآءُ یَتَّبِعُہُمُ الْغَاوٗنَ ” مشرکین مکہّ میں سے کچھ لوگوں کا خیال تھا کہ محمد ﷺ نے شاعری سیکھ لی ہے اور یہ کہ قرآن دراصل ان کا شاعرانہ کلام ہے۔ اس حوالے سے یہاں دراصل یہ بتانا مقصود ہے کہ شاعروں کے کردار کو تم لوگ اچھی طرح جانتے ہو۔ تم خود سوچو کہ ایسے کردار کو ہمارے رسول ﷺ کے کردار سے کیا نسبت ؟ اس آیت میں شعراء کے پیروکاروں کے بارے میں جو بنیادی اصول بتایا گیا ہے اس میں مجھے کوئی استثناء exception نظر نہیں آتا۔ اگرچہ علامہ اقبال کا معاملہ بہت سے اعتبارات سے مختلف ہے مگر ان کے پیروکاروں پر بھی قرآن کا یہ قانون سو فیصد منطبق ہوتا ہے۔ اس حقیقت کو اس پہلو سے دیکھنا چاہیے کہ علامہ اقبالؔ کے حاشیہ نشینوں میں سے کوئی ایک شخص بھی ایسا سامنے نہیں آسکا جس نے ان کے نظریات کی روشنی سے اپنی عملی زندگی کا کوئی گوشہ روشن کیا ہو اور اپنی شخصیت میں بندۂ مؤمن کے اس کردار کی کوئی رمق پیدا کرنے کی کوشش کی ہو جس کا نقشہ علامہ اقبالؔ نے اپنے کلام میں پیش کیا ہے۔ بلکہ علامہ اقبالؔ تو خود اپنے بارے میں بھی اعتراف کرتے ہیں کہ محض گفتار کے غازی تھے : اقبال ؔ بڑا اپدیشک ہے من باتوں میں موہ لیتا ہے گفتار کا یہ غازی تو بنا ‘ کردار کا غازی بن نہ سکا !اس حوالے سے سورة یٰسین کی آیت 69 میں حضور ﷺ کے بارے میں بہت واضح طور پر فرمادیا گیا ہے : وَمَا عَلَّمْنٰہُ الشِّعْرَ وَمَا یَنْبَغِیْ لَہٗ ط ”ہم نے آپ ﷺ کو شعر کہنا سکھایا ہی نہیں اور یہ آپ ﷺ کی شایان شان ہی نہیں۔“
