  3. ذُكِّرُوْانصیحت کیے جاتے ہیں
  4. بِاٰیٰتِآیات کے ساتھ
  5. رَبِّهِمْاپنے رب کی

  9. صُمًّابہرے
  10. وَّعُمْیَانًااور اندھے بن کر

Translation and commentary

Tafheem-ul-Quran

جنہیں اگر اُن کے ربّ کی آیات سُنا کر نصیحت کی جاتی ہے تو وہ اس پر اندھے اور بہرے بن کر نہیں رہ1 جاتے

  1.  اصل میں الفاظ ہیں لَمْ یَخِرُّ وْا عَلَیھَا صُمّاً وَّ عَمْیَاناً ، جن کا لفظی ترجمہ یہ ہے : ’’ وہ ان پر اندھے بہرے بن کر نہیں گرتے ‘‘۔ لیکن یہاں ’’ گرنے ‘‘ کا لفظ اپنے لغوی معنی کے لیے نہیں بلکہ محاورے کے طور پر استعمال ہوا ہے ۔ جیسے ہم اردو میں کہتے ہیں ’’ جہاد کا حکم سن کر بیٹھے رہ گئے ‘‘۔ اس میں بیٹھنے کا لفظ اپنے لغوی معنی میں نہیں بلکہ جہاد کے لیے شرکت نہ کرنے کے معنی میں استعمال ہوا ہے ۔ پس آیت کا مطلب یہ ہے کہ ہو ایسے لوگ نہیں ہیں جو اللہ کی آیات سن کر ٹس سے مس نہ ہوں ، بلکہ وہ ان کا گہرا اثر قبول کرتے ہیں ۔ جو ہدایت ان آیات میں آئی ہو اس کی پیروی کرتے ہیں ، جس چیز کو فرض قرار دیا گیا ہو اسے بجا لاتے ہیں ، جس چیز کی مذمت بیان کی گئی ہو اس سے رک جاتے ہیں ، اور جس عذاب سے ڈرایا گیا ہو اس کے تصور سے کانپ اٹھتے ہیں ۔

Bayan-ul-Quran

اور وہ لوگ کہ جب انہیں ان کے رب کی آیات کے ذریعے نصیحت کی جاتی ہے تو وہ اس پر بہرے اور اندھے ہو کر نہیں گرپڑتے

Commentary

آیت 73 وَالَّذِیْنَ اِذَا ذُکِّرُوْا بِاٰیٰتِ رَبِّہِمْ لَمْ یَخِرُّوْا عَلَیْہَا صُمًّا وَّعُمْیَانًا ”اس کا ایک مفہوم تو یہ ہے کہ ایسے لوگ جب قرآنی آیات کو پڑھتے یا سنتے ہیں تو ان کا رویہ اندھوں یا بہروں جیسا نہیں ہوتا ‘ بلکہ وہ ان پر غور و فکر اور تدبر کرتے ہیں۔ اور دوسرا مفہوم یہ کہ وہ قریش مکہّ کی طرح اندھے اور بہرے بن کر اللہ کی آیات کی مخالفت پر کمر نہیں کس لیتے۔ اس مفہوم میں اس آیت کا انداز طنزیہ ہوگا کہ جو رویہ مشرکین مکہّ نے کلام اللہ کے ساتھ اپنا رکھا ہے ‘ اللہ کے نیک بندوں کا ایسا رویہ نہیں ہوتا۔ سورة محمد میں کفار کے اس رویے کا ذکر اس طرح کیا گیا ہے : اَفَلَا یَتَدَبَّرُوْنَ الْقُرْاٰنَ اَمْ عَلٰی قُلُوْبٍ اَقْفَالُہَا ”کیا یہ لوگ قرآن میں تدبر نہیں کرتے یا ان کے دلوں پر قفل پڑگئے ہیں ؟“ بہر حال ”عبادالرحمن“ کے مقام و مرتبہ سے یہ بات فروتر ہے کہ وہ قرآن کو اندھے اور بہرے ہو کر مانیں یا پڑھیں۔
