Translation and commentary

Tafheem-ul-Quran

اس خدا کو چھوڑ کر لوگ اُن کو پُوج رہے ہیں جو نہ ان کو نفع پہنچا سکتے ہیں نہ نقصان ، اور اوپر سے مزید یہ کہ کافر اپنے ربّ کے مقابلے میں ہر باغی کا مددگار بنا ہوا ہے۔1

  1.  یعنی اللہ کا کلمہ بلند کرنے اور اس کے احکام و قوانین کو نافذ کرنے کے لیے جو کوشش بھی کہیں ہو رہی ہو ، کافر کی ہمدردیاں اس کوشش کے ساتھ نہیں بلکہ ان لوگوں کے ساتھ ہوں گی جو اسے نیچا دکھانے کے در پے ہوں ۔ اسی طرح اللہ کی فرماں برداری و اطاعت سے نہیں بلکہ اس کی نافرمانی ہی سے کافر کی ساری دلچسپیاں وابستہ ہوں گی۔ نافرمانی کا کام جو جہاں بھی کر رہا ہو کافر اگر عملاً اس کا شریک نہ ہو سکے گا تو کم از کم زندہ باد کا نعرہ ہی مار دے گا تاکہ خدا کے باغیوں کی ہمت افزائی ہو ۔ بخلاف اس کے اگر کوئی فرماں برداری کا کام کر رہا ہو تو کافر اس کی مزاحمت میں ذرا دریغ نہ کرے گا ۔ خود مزاحمت نہ کر سکتا ہو تو اس کی ہمت شکنی کے لیے جو کچھ بھی کر سکتا ہے کر گزرے گا، چاہے وہ ناک بھوں چڑھانے کی حد تک ہی سہی۔ نافرمانی کی ہر خبر اس کے لیے مژدہ جانفزا ہو گی اور فرماں برداری کی ہر اطلاع اسے تیر بن کر لگے گی۔

اور وہ بندگی کرتے ہیں اللہ کے سوا ان کی جو نہ تو انہیں کوئی نفع پہنچا سکتے ہیں اور نہ نقصان اور یہ کافر لوگ اپنے رب کی طرف سے پیٹھ موڑے ہوئے ہیں

Commentary

وَکَانَ الْکَافِرُ عَلٰی رَبِّہٖ ظَہِیْرًا ”یہ لوگ اپنے رب کی طرف متوجہ ہوتے ہی نہیں۔ ظھیر کا معنی مددگار بھی ہے اور علٰی مخالفت کے لیے آتا ہے۔ اس طرح ان الفاظ کا مفہوم ہوگا کہ کافر لوگ اپنے رب کے خلاف دوسروں کے مددگار بنتے ہیں۔
