وَلَقَدْاور البتہ تحقیق
اَتَوْاوہ گزرتے ہیں
عَلَیپر
الْقَرْیَةِاس بستی
الَّتِیْۤوہ جو
اُمْطِرَتْبرسائی گئی تھی
مَطَرَبارش
السَّوْءِ ؕبری
اَفَلَمْکیا بھلا نہیں
یَكُوْنُوْاوہ تھے
یَرَوْنَهَا ۚدیکھنے اس کو
بَلْبلکہ
كَانُوْاتھے وہ
لَانہ
یَرْجُوْنَامید رکھتے
نُشُوْرًاجی اٹھنے کی
۟

اور یہ لوگ اس بستی پر سے تو گزرتے ہیں جس پر بہت بری بارش برسائی گئی تھی تو کیا یہ لوگ اسے دیکھتے نہیں رہے بلکہ وہ امید نہیں رکھتے جی اٹھنے کی

Commentary

آیت 40 وَلَقَدْ اَتَوْا عَلَی الْقَرْیَۃِ الَّتِیْٓ اُمْطِرَتْ مَطَرَ السَّوْءِ ط ”اس سے سدوم اور عامورہ کی بستیاں مراد ہیں جن کی طرف حضرت لوط علیہ السلام مبعوث ہوئے تھے۔ بدترین بارش سے مراد پتھروں کی بارش ہے ‘ جس کا ذکر قرآن حکیم میں کئی جگہ آیا ہے۔اَفَلَمْ یَکُوْنُوْا یَرَوْنَہَا ج ”سفر شام کے دوران آتے جاتے قریش کے تجارتی قافلے جب ان بستیوں کے کھنڈرات کے پاس سے گزرتے ہیں تو کیا یہ لوگ انہیں نگاہ عبرت سے نہیں دیکھتے ؟بَلْ کَانُوْا لَا یَرْجُوْنَ نُشُوْرًا ”اصل بات یہ ہے کہ انہیں بعث بعد الموت پر یقین نہیں ہے۔ یہی سبب ہے کہ ایسے عبرت انگیز حقائق پر سے یہ لوگ بغیر کوئی سبق حاصل کیے اندھوں کی طرح گزر جاتے ہیں۔
