Surah 25, ayah 18

قَالُوْاوہ کہیں گے
سُبْحٰنَكَپاک ہے تو
مَانہیں
كَانَہے
یَنْۢبَغِیْجائز
لَنَاۤہمارے لیے
اَنْکہ
نَّتَّخِذَہم بناتے
مِنْسے
دُوْنِكَتیرے سوا (سے)
مِنْکوئی
اَوْلِیَآءَدوست
وَلٰكِنْلیکن
مَّتَّعْتَهُمْتو نے سامان زندگی دیا ان کو
وَاٰبَآءَهُمْاور ان کے باپ دادا کو
حَتّٰییہاں تک کہ
نَسُواوہ بھول گئے
الذِّكْرَ ۚنصیحت۔ ذکر۔ یاد
وَكَانُوْااور تھے وہ
قَوْمًالوگ
بُوْرًاشامت زدہ۔ ہلاک ہونے والے
۟

Translation and commentary

Tafheem-ul-Quran

وہ عرض کریں گے”پاک ہے آپ کی ذات، ہماری تو یہ بھی مجال نہ تھی کہ آپ کے سوا کسی کو اپنا مولیٰ بنائیں۔ مگر آپ نے ان کو اور ان کے باپ دادا کو خوب سامانِ زندگی دیا حتٰی کہ یہ سبق بھُول گئے اور شامت زدہ ہو کر رہے۔“¹

یعنی یہ کم ظرف اور کمینے لوگ تھے ۔ آپ نے رزق دیا تھا کہ شکر کریں ۔ یہ کھا پی کر نمک حرام ہو گئے اور وہ سب نصیحتیں بھلا بیٹھے جو آپ کے بھیجے ہوئے انبیاء نے ان کو کی تھیں ۔
