  1. وَالَّذِیْنَاور وہ لوگ
  2. یَرْمُوْنَجو الزام لگاتے ہیں
  3. اَزْوَاجَهُمْاپنی بیویوں پر
  4. وَلَمْاور نہیں
  5. یَكُنْہیں
  6. لَّهُمْان کے لیے
  7. شُهَدَآءُگواہ
  8. اِلَّاۤمگر
  9. اَنْفُسُهُمْان کے نفس
  10. فَشَهَادَةُتو گواہی ہوگی
  11. اَحَدِهِمْان میں سے ایک کی
  12. اَرْبَعُچار
  13. شَهٰدٰتٍۢگواہیاں
  14. بِاللّٰهِ ۙاللہ کے ساتھ
  15. اِنَّهٗبیشک وہ
  16. لَمِنَالبتہ میں سے
  17. الصّٰدِقِیْنَسچوں میں (سے ہے)

Translation and commentary

Tafheem-ul-Quran

اور جو لوگ اپنی بیویوں پر الزام لگائیں اور ان کے پاس خود ان کے اپنے سوا دوسرے کوئی گواہ نہ ہوں تو اُن میں سے ایک شخص کی شہادت (یہ ہے کہ وہ) چار مرتبہ اللہ کی قسم کھا کر گواہی دے کہ وہ (اپنے الزام میں) سچا ہے

Bayan-ul-Quran

اور وہ لوگ جو اپنی بیویوں پر زنا کا الزام لگائیں اور ان کے پاس اپنی ذات کے سوا اور گواہ نہ ہوں تو ایسے ایک شخص کی گواہی یہ ہے کہ اللہ کی قسم کے ساتھ چار بار گواہی دے کہ وہ یقیناً سچا ہے

Commentary

آیت 6 وَالَّذِیْنَ یَرْمُوْنَ اَزْوَاجَہُمْ وَلَمْ یَکُنْ لَّہُمْ شُہَدَآءُ اِلَّآ اَنْفُسُہُمْ ”یعنی اگر کوئی شخص اپنی بیوی کو بدکاری کا ارتکاب کرتے ہوئے دیکھ لے اور اس کے پاس اپنے علاوہ موقع کے تین اور گواہ بھی نہ ہوں تو وہ کیا کرے ؟ چونکہ معاملہ اس کی اپنی بیوی کا ہے اس لیے وہ خاموشی اختیار کر کے اس کے ساتھ رہ بھی نہیں سکتا۔ عام حالات میں تو اگر کوئی شخص اپنے علاوہ تین چشم دید گواہوں کے بغیر کسی پر ایسا الزام لگائے تو اسے اسّی 80 کوڑوں کی سزا دی جائے گی ‘ لیکن میاں بیوی کے معاملے میں ایسی صورت حال کے لیے یہاں ایک خصوصی قانون دیا گیا ہے جسے اصطلاح میں ”لعان“ کہا جاتا ہے۔فَشَہَادَۃُ اَحَدِہِمْ اَرْبَعُ شَہٰدٰتٍم باللّٰہِلا اِنَّہٗ لَمِنَ الصّٰدِقِیْنَ ”ایسے شخص سے تقاضا یہ ہے کہ وہ اللہ کی قسم کھا کر چار دفعہ واقعہ کی گواہی دے اور دعویٰ کرے کہ وہ جو کچھ کہہ رہا ہے سچ کہہ رہا ہے۔
