  2. فَضْلُفضل ہوتا
  3. اللّٰهِاللہ کا
  4. عَلَیْكُمْتم پر
  5. وَرَحْمَتُهٗاور اس کی رحمت
  6. وَاَنَّاور بیشک
  7. اللّٰهَاللہ تعالیٰ
  8. تَوَّابٌتوبہ قبول کرنے والا ہے
  9. حَكِیْمٌحکمت والا ہے

Translation and commentary

Tafheem-ul-Quran

تم لوگوں پر اللہ کا فضل اور اس کا رحم نہ ہوتا اور یہ بات نہ ہوتی کہ اللہ بڑا التفات فرمانے والا اور حکیم ہے، تو (بیویوں پر الزام کا معاملہ تمہیں بڑی پیچیدگی میں ڈال دیتا)

Bayan-ul-Quran

اور اگر تم لوگوں پر اللہ کا فضل اور اس کی رحمت نہ ہوتی اور یہ کہ اللہ بہت توبہ قبول کرنے والا بہت حکمت والا ہے

Commentary

وَاَنَّ اللّٰہَ تَوَّابٌ حَکِیْمٌ “ یہاں پر کچھ الفاظ مقدرّ understood مانے گئے ہیں۔ گویا تقدیر عبارت یوں ہے کہ اگر اللہ تعالیٰ کا فضل و کرم اور اس کی رحمت تم لوگوں کے شامل حال نہ ہوتی اور یہ بات نہ ہوتی کہ اللہ توبہ قبول فرمانے والا اور صاحب حکمت ہے تو بیویوں پر الزام کا معاملہ تمہیں غلط راستے پر ڈال دیتا اور تم کوئی بہت بڑا قدم اٹھا لیتے۔ان ابتدائی آیات کی صورت میں اس واقعہ کی تمہید بیان ہوئی ہے جو آگے آ رہا ہے۔
