نوحؑ نے کہا”پروردگار، اِن لوگوں نے جو میری تکذیب کی ہے اس پر اب تُو ہی میری نُصرت فرما۔“1

یعنی میری طرف سے اس تکذیب کا بدلہ لے۔ جیسا کہ دوسری جگہ فرمایا: فَدَعَا رَبَّہٗ اَنِّیْ مَغْلُوْبٌ فَا نْتَصِرْ، ”پس نوح نے اپنے ربّ کو پکارا کہ میں دبا لیا گیا ہوں ، اب تُو ان سے بدلہ لے“ (القمر آیت 1۰)۔ اور سُورہ ٔ نوح مین فرمایا: وَقَالَ نُوْحٌ رَّبِّ لَا تَذَرْ عَلَی الْاَرْضِٖ مِنَ الْکَافِرِیْنَ دَیَّارًا o اِنَّکَ اِنْ تَذَرْ ھُمْ یُضِلُّوْ ا عِبَادَ کَ وَلَا یَلِدُوْ آ اِلَّا فَا جِرًا کَفَّارًا۔” اور نوح نے کہا، اے میرے پروردگار، اس زمین پر کافروں میں سے ایک بسنے والا بھی نہ چھوڑ، اگر تُو نے ان کو رہنے دیا تو یہ تیرے بندوں کو گمراہ کر دیں گے اور ان کی نسل سے بدکار منکرینِ حق ہی پیدا ہوں گے“(آیت 2۶)۔
