  1. قٰلَکہا
  2. اِنْنہیں
  3. لَّبِثْتُمْٹھہرے تم

  5. قَلِیْلًابہت تھوڑا

  7. اَنَّكُمْبیشک تم

  9. تَعْلَمُوْنَتم جانتے

Translation and commentary

Tafheem-ul-Quran

اِرشاد ہو گا”تھوڑی ہی دیر ٹھہرے ہونا۔ کاش تم نے یہ اُس وقت جانا ہوتا۔1

  1. یعنی دنیا میں ہمارے نبی تم کو بتاتے رہے کہ یہ دنیا کی زندگی محض  امتحان کی چند گنی چنی ساعتیں ہیں، اِنہی کو اصل زندگی اور بس ایک ہی زندگی نہ سمجھ بیٹھو۔ اصل زندگی آخرت کی زندگی ہے جہاں تمہیں ہمیشہ رہنا ہے۔ یہاں کے وقتی فائدوں اور عارضی لذتوں کی خاطر وہ کام نہ کرو جو آخرت کی ابدی زندگی میں تمہارے مستقبل کو برباد کر دینے والے ہوں۔ مگر اُس وقت تم نے ان کی بات سن کر نہ دی۔  تم اِس عالم ِ آخرت کا  انکار کرتے رہے ۔ تم نے زندگی بعدِ موت کو ایک من گھڑت افسانہ سمجھا۔ تم اپنے اِس خیال پر مُصِر رہے کہ جینا  اور مرنا  جو کچھ ہے بس سی دنیا میں ہے، اور جو کچھ مزے لوٹنے ہیں یہیں لوٹ لینے چاہییں۔ اب پچھتانے سے کیا ہوتا ہے۔ ہوش آنے کا وقت تو وہ تھا جب تم دنیا کی چند روزہ زندگی کے لطف پر یہاں کی ابدی زندگی کے فائدوں کو قربان کر رہےتھے۔

اللہ فرمائے گا کہ (واقعتا) تم لوگ نہیں رہے ہو مگر بہت تھوڑا ہی عرصہ کاش کہ تم لوگ جانتے ہوتے

Commentary

آیت 114 قٰلَ اِنْ لَّبِثْتُمْ اِلَّا قَلِیْلًا لَّوْ اَنَّکُمْ کُنْتُمْ تَعْلَمُوْنَ ”آیت 84 سے شروع ہونے والے سلسلۂ کلام میں یہ آخری چار آیات خصوصی طور پر بہت جامع اور پرجلال ہیں۔ جیسا کہ آیت 84 کے ضمن میں بھی ذکر ہوچکا ہے کہ سورت کے اس حصے کی تلاوت قاری محمد صدیق المنشاوی نے بہت پر تاثیر انداز میں کی ہے۔ ان کی یہ تلاوت سننے سے تعلق رکھتی ہے اور اس کے سننے سے دل پر ایک خاص کیفیت طاری ہوجاتی ہے :
