وَنَجَّیْنٰهُاور نجات دی ہم نے اس کو
وَلُوْطًااور لوط کو
اِلَیکی طرف
الْاَرْضِاس زمین
الَّتِیْوہ جو
بٰرَكْنَابرکت دی تھی ہم نے
فِیْهَااس میں
لِلْعٰلَمِیْنَجہان والوں کے لیے
۟

Translation and commentary

Tafheem-ul-Quran

اور ہم اُسے اور لوطؑ¹ کو بچا کر اُس سر زمین کی طرف نکال لے گئے جس میں ہم نے دنیا والوں کے لیے برکتیں رکھی ہیں۔²

بائیبل کے بیان کے مطابق حضرت ابراہیم ؑ کے دوبھائی تھے، نَحور اور حاران ۔ حضرت لوط ؑ حاران کے بیٹے تھے (پیدائش باب 11، آیت 2۶)۔ سُورۂ عنکبوت میں حضرت ابراہیم کا جو تذکرہ آیا ہے اس سے بظاہر یہی معلوم ہوتا ہے کہ اُن کی قوم میں سے صرف ایک حضرت لوط ؑ ہی ان پر ایمان لائے تھے (ملاحظہ ہو آیت 2۶)۔
یعنی شام و فلسطین کی سرزمین۔ اس کی برکتیں مادّی بھی ہیں او ر روحانی بھی۔ مادی حیثیت سے وہ دنیا کے زرخیز ترین علاقوں میں سے ہے۔ اور روحانی حیثیت سے وہ 2 ہزار برس تک انبیاء علیہم السّلام کا مہبط رہی ہے۔ دنیا کے کسی دوسرے خطے میں اتنی کثرت سے انبیاء مبعوث نہیں ہوئے ہیں۔
