Translation and commentary

Tafheem-ul-Quran

اور اے محمدؐ ، تم سے پہلے بھی ہم نے انسانوں ہی کو رسُول بنا کر بھیجا تھا جن پر ہم وحی کیا کرتے تھے۔1 تم لوگ اگر علم نہیں رکھتے تو اہلِ کتاب سے پوچھ لو۔2

  1. یہ جواب ہے ان کے اس قول کا کہ ”یہ شخص تم جیسا ایک بشر ہی تو ہے“۔ وہ نبی صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی بشریت کو اس بات کی دلیل قرار دیتے تھے کہ آپ نبی نہیں ہو سکتے۔ جواب دیا گیا ہے کہ پہلے زمانے کے  جن لوگوں کو تم خود مانتے ہو کہ وہ خدا کی طرف سے بھیجے گئے تھے ، وہ سب بھی بشر ہی تھے اور بشر ہوتے ہوئے  ہی خدا کی وحی سے سرفراز ہو ئے تھے۔ (مزید تشریح کے لیے ملاحظہ ہو تفہیم القرآن ، جلد چہارم ، یٰسین ، حاشیہ نمبر 11)۔

  2. یعنی یہ یہودی ، جو آج اسلام کی دشمنی میں تمہارے ہم نوا ہیں اور تم کو مخالفت کے داؤ  پیچ سکھایا کرتے ہیں، انہی سے پوچھ لو کہ   موسیٰ اور دوسرے انبیاء ِ بنی اسرائیل کون تھے۔ انسان ہی تھے یا کوئی اور مخلوق؟

اور (اے نبی ﷺ !) ہم نے نہیں بھیجا آپ سے پہلے مگر مردوں ہی کو (بطور رسول) ان کی طرف ہم وحی کرتے تھے تو (اے قریش مکہ !) تم اہل ذکر سے پوچھ لو اگر تمہیں معلوم نہیں

Commentary

آیت 7 وَمَآ اَرْسَلْنَا قَبْلَکَ الاَّ رِجَالاً نُّوْحِیْٓ اِلَیْہِمْ فَسْءَلُوْٓا اَہْلَ الذِّکْرِ اِنْ کُنْتُمْ لاَ تَعْلَمُوْنَ ”آیت کے پہلے حصے میں خطاب رسول اللہ ﷺ سے ہے ‘ مگر بعد میں خطاب کا رخ ان لوگوں کی طرف ہوگیا ہے جو کہتے تھے کہ یہ تو ہماری طرح کے انسان ہیں ‘ ہم ان کی بات کیسے مان لیں ؟ ان لوگوں سے کہا جا رہا ہے کہ یہ کوئی پہلے رسول نہیں ہیں۔ آپ ﷺ سے پہلے بھی بہت سے رسول آئے ‘ وہ سب بھی انسان ہی تھے۔ وہ انسانوں ہی کی طرح پیدا ہوئے سوائے حضرت عیسیٰ علیہ السلام کے کہ وہ بغیر باپ کے پیدا ہوئے۔ وہ انسانوں ہی کی طرح کھاتے پیتے اور دوسری ضروریات زندگی پوری کرتے تھے۔ یہ بات اگر تمہاری سمجھ سے بالا تر ہے تو تمہارے ارد گرد اہل کتاب یعنی یہود اور نصاریٰ موجود ہیں۔ تم لوگ ان سے پوچھ لو کہ پہلے رسول انسان تھے یا وہ کسی مافوق الفطرت مخلوق سے تعلق رکھتے تھے ؟
