- بَلْبلکہ
- مَتَّعْنَافائدہ دیا ہم نے
- هٰۤؤُلَآءِان لوگوں کو
- وَاٰبَآءَهُمْاور ان کے آباؤ اجداد کو
- حَتّٰییہاں تک کہ
- طَالَلمبی ہوگئی
- عَلَیْهِمُان پر
- الْعُمُرُ ؕعمر
- اَفَلَاکیا بھلا نہیں
- یَرَوْنَوہ دیکھتے
- اَنَّاکہ بیشک ہم
- نَاْتِیہم لا رہے ہیں
- الْاَرْضَزمین کو

لیکن ہم نے (دنیوی) نعمتیں عطا کیں ان کو بھی اور ان کے آباء و اَجداد کو بھی یہاں تک کہ ان پر ایک مدت گزر گئی کیا یہ لوگ دیکھتے نہیں کہ ہم زمین کو اس کے کناروں سے گھٹاتے چلے آ رہے ہیں تو کیا (اب بھی وہ سمجھتے ہیں کہ) وہی غالب آنے والے ہیں

Commentary
آیت 44 بَلْ مَتَّعْنَا ہٰٓؤُلَآءِ وَاٰبَآءَ ہُمْ حَتّٰی طَالَ عَلَیْہِمُ الْعُمُرُ ط ”ہم انہیں مسلسل دنیوی نعمتوں سے نوازتے رہے ‘ یہاں تک کہ وہ ان کے عادی ہوگئے ‘ انہیں اپنی ملکیت سمجھنے لگے اور ان پر خوب اترانے لگے۔اَفَلَا یَرَوْنَ اَنَّا نَاْتِی الْاَرْضَ نَنْقُصُہَا مِنْ اَطْرَافِہَا ط ”کیا مشرکین مکہ کو یہ ٹھوس حقیقت نظر نہیں آرہی کہ اس سرزمین میں ان کا اثر و رسوخ روز بروز کم ہو رہا ہے۔ اسلام کا پیغام مسلسل پھیل رہا ہے۔ مکہ کے اندر سے بھی اس روشنی کا دائرہ وسیع ہو رہا ہے اور باہر کے قبائل میں بھی دعوت اسلام کا تعارف رفتہ رفتہ بڑھتا چلا جا رہا ہے۔ گویا مشرکین مکہ کے لیے زمین مسلسل سکڑتی چلی جا رہی ہے اور ہر آنے والے دن کے ساتھ اہل ایمان کی تعداد اور طاقت میں اضافہ ہو رہا ہے۔ ان سے ملتے جلتے الفاظ میں یہ مضمون اس سے پہلے سورة الرعد میں بھی آچکا ہے : اَوَلَمْ یَرَوْا اَ نَّا نَاْ تِی الْاَرْضَ نَنْقُصُہَا مِنْ اَطْرَافِہَاط واللّٰہُ یَحْکُمُ لاَ مُعَقِّبَ لِحُکْمِہٖط وَہُوَ سَرِیْعُ الْحِسَابِ ”کیا یہ لوگ دیکھتے نہیں کہ ہم زمین کو گھٹاتے چلے آ رہے ہیں اس کے کناروں سے ؟ اور اللہ ہی فیصلہ کرنے والا ہے ‘ کوئی نہیں پیچھے ڈالنے والا اس کے حکم کو ‘ اور وہ جلد حساب لینے والا ہے۔“اَفَہُمُ الْغٰلِبُوْنَ ”یہ سب کچھ دیکھتے ہوئے بھی کیا ان کا خیال ہے کہ اس کش مکش میں وہی جیتیں گے :
