  1. وَاِنِّیْاور بیشک میں
  2. لَغَفَّارٌالبتہ بہت بخشنے والا ہوں
  3. لِّمَنْواسطے اس کے
  4. تَابَجس نے توبہ کی
  5. وَاٰمَنَاور وہ ایمان لایا
  6. وَعَمِلَاور اس نے عمل کیے
  7. صَالِحًااچھے
  8. ثُمَّپھر
  9. اهْتَدٰیراہ پائی۔ ہدایت پائی

Translation and commentary

Tafheem-ul-Quran

البتہ جو توبہ کر لےاور ایمان لائے اور نیک عمل کرے، پھر سیدھا چلتا رہے، اُس کے لیے میں بہت درگزر کرنے والا ہوں۔1

  1. یعنی مغفرت کے لیے چار شرطیں ہیں۔ اوّل توبہ، یعنی سرکشی و نافرمانی یا شرک و کفر سے باز آجانا۔ دوسرے، ایمان، یعنی اللہ اور رسول اور کتاب اور آخرت کو صدق ِ دل سے مان لینا۔ تیسرے عملِ صالح ، یعنی اللہ اور رسول کی ہدایات کے مطابق نیک عمل کرنا ۔ چوتھے اہتداء، یعنی راہِ راست پر ثابت قدم رہنا اور پھر غلط راستے پر نہ جا پڑنا۔
