Surah 2, ayah 63

  1. وَاِذْاور جب
  2. اَخَذْنَالیا ہم نے
  3. مِیْثَاقَكُمْپختہ / پکا عہد تم سے
  4. وَرَفَعْنَااوراٹھایا ہم نے
  5. فَوْقَكُمُاوپر تمہارے
  6. الطُّوْرَ ؕطور کو
  7. خُذُوْاپکڑو
  8. مَاۤجو
  9. اٰتَیْنٰكُمْدیا ہم نے تم کو
  10. بِقُوَّةٍساتھ قوت کے
  11. وَّاذْكُرُوْااور یاد کرو
  12. مَاجو
  13. فِیْهِاس میں ہے
  14. لَعَلَّكُمْتاکہ تم
  15. تَتَّقُوْنَتم متقی بن جاو

Translation and commentary

Tafheem-ul-Quran

یاد کرو وہ وقت، جب ہم نے طور کو تم پر اُٹھاکرتم سے پُختہ عہد لیاتھا اور کہا1 تھاکہ ”جو کتاب ہم تمہیں دے رہے ہیں اُسے مضبوطی کے ساتھ تھامنااور جو احکام و ہدایات اس میں درج ہیں اُنہیں یاد رکھنا۔ اسی ذریعے سےتوقع کی جاسکتی ہےکہ تم تقوٰی کی روش پر چل سکو گے“

  1. اس واقعے کو قرآن میں مختلف مقامات پر جس انداز سے بیان کیا گیا ہے  اس سے یہ بات صاف ظاہر ہو تی ہے کہ اس وقت بنی اسرائیل میں یہ ایک مشہور و معرُوف واقعہ تھا۔ لیکن اب اس کی تفصیلی کیفیت معلوم کرنا مشکل ہے۔ بس مجملاً یوں سمجھنا چاہیے کہ پہاڑ کے دامن میں میثاق لیتے وقت ایسی خوفناک صُورتِ حال پیدا کر دی گئی  تھی کہ ان کو ایسا  معلوم ہوتا تھا کہ گویا پہاڑ ان پر آپڑے گا۔ ایسا ہی کچھ نقشہ سُورہٴ اعراف آیت 171 میں کھینچا گیا ہے۔ (ملاحظہ ہو سُورہٴ اعراف، حاشیہ نمبر 132)

Bayan-ul-Quran

اور ذرا یاد کرو جب ہم نے تم سے قول وقرار لیا اور تمہارے اوپر اٹھا دیا کوہ طور کو۔ پکڑو اس کو مضبوطی کے ساتھ جو ہم نے تم کو دیا ہے۔ اور یاد رکھو اسے جو کچھ کہ اس میں ہے تاکہ تم بچ سکو۔

Commentary

وَاِذْ اَخَذْنَا مِیْثَاقَکُمْ وَرَفَعْنَا فَوْقَکُمُ الطُّوْرَ ط“ بنی اسرائیل کو جب تورات دی گئی تو اس وقت ان کے دلوں میں اللہ اور اس کی کتاب کی ہیبت ڈالنے اور خشیت پیدا کرنے کے لیے معجزانہ طور پر ایک ایسی کیفیت پیدا کی گئی کہ ان کے اوپر کوہ طور اٹھا کر معلق کردیا گیا۔ اس وقت ان سے کہا گیا : ّ خُذُوْا مَآ اٰتَیْنٰکُمْ بِقُوَّۃٍ “ اس کتاب تورات کو اور اس میں بیان کردہ احکام شریعت کو مضبوطی کے ساتھ تھام لو۔ وَّاذْکُرُوْا مَا فِیْہِ لَعَلَّکُمْ تَتَّقُوْنَ
