  1. وَلَكُمْاور تمہارے لیے
  2. فِیمیں
  3. الْقِصَاصِبدلہ لینے
  4. حَیٰوةٌزندگی ہے
  5. یّٰۤاُولِیاے عقل والو
  6. الْاَلْبَابِعقل والو
  7. لَعَلَّكُمْتاکہ تم
  8. تَتَّقُوْنَتم بچو۔ تم پر ہیزگار ہوجاؤ

Translation and commentary

Tafheem-ul-Quran

قل و خردر کھنے والو!تمہارے لیے قصاص میں زندگی ہے۔1 امید ہے کہ تم اس قانون کی خلاف ورزی سے پرہیز کرو گے

  1. یہ ایک دُوسری جاہلیّت کی تردید ہے ، جو پہلے بھی بہت سے دماغوں میں موجود تھی اور آج بھی بکثرت پائی جاتی ہے۔ جس طرح اہلِ جاہلیّت کا ایک گروہ انتقام کے پہلو میں افراط کی طرف چلا گیا، اسی طرح ایک دُوسرا گروہ عفو کے پہلو میں تفریط کی طرف گیا ہے اور اس نے سزائے موت کے خلاف اتنی تبلیغ کی ہے کہ بہت سے لوگ اس کو ایک نفرت انگیز چیز سمجھنے لگے ہیں اور دُنیا کے متعدّد ملکوں نے اسے بالکل منسُوخ کر دیا ہے۔ قرآن اسی پر اہلِ عقل کو مخاطب کر کے تنبیہ کر تا ہے کہ قصاص میں سوسائیٹی کی زندگی ہے۔ جو سوسائیٹی انسانی جان کا احترام  نہ کرنے والوں کی جان کو  محترم ٹھیراتی ہے، وہ دراصل اپنی آستین میں سانپ پالتی ہے۔ تم ایک قاتل کی جان بچا کر بہت سے بے گناہ انسانوں کی جانیں خطرے میں ڈالتے ہو۔

اور اے ہوشمندو ! تمہارے لیے قصاص میں زندگی ہے تاکہ تم بچ سکو

Commentary

آیت 179 وَلَکُمْ فِی الْْقِصَاصِ حَیٰوۃٌ یّٰاُولِی الْاَلْبَابِ لَعَلَّکُمْ تَتَّقُوْنَ معاشرتی زندگی میں عفو و درگزر اگرچہ ایک اچھی قدر ہے اور اسلام اس کی تعلیم دیتا ہے : وَاِنْ تَعْفُوْا وَتَصْفَحُوْا وَتَغْفِرُوْا فَاِنَّ اللّٰہَ غَفُوْرٌ رَّحِیْمٌ التغابن اور اگر تم معاف کردیا کرو اور چشم پوشی سے کام لو اور بخش دیا کرو تو بیشک اللہ بھی بخشنے والا ‘ رحم کرنے والا ہے۔ لیکن قتل کے مقدمات میں سہل انگاری اور چشم پوشی کو قصاص کی راہ میں حائل نہیں ہونے دینا چاہیے ‘ بلکہ شدتّ کے ساتھ پیروی ہونی چاہیے ‘ تاکہ اس سے آگے قتل کا سلسلہ بند ہو۔ آیت کے آخر میں فرمایا : لَعَلَّکُمْ تَتَّقُوْنَ یعنی اللہ کی حدود کی خلاف ورزی اور ایک دوسرے پر ظلم و تعدیّ سے بچو۔
