Commentary (one passage for ayahs 2:168, 2:169)
آیت 168 یٰٓاَیُّہَا النَّاسُ کُلُوْا مِمَّا فِی الْاَرْضِ حَلٰلاً طَیِّبًاز وَّلاَ تَتَّبِعُوْا خُطُوٰتِ الشَّیْطٰنِ ط اِنَّہٗ لَکُمْ عَدُوٌّ مُّبِیْنٌ یہ بحث دراصل سورة الانعام میں زیادہ وضاحت سے آئے گی۔ عرب میں یہ رواج تھا کہ بتوں کے نام پر کوئی جانور چھوڑ دیتے تھے ‘ جس کو ذبح کرنا وہ حرام سمجھتے تھے۔ ایسی روایات ہندوؤں میں بھی تھیں جنہیں ہم نے بچپن میں دیکھا ہے۔ مثلاً کوئی سانڈ چھوڑ دیا ‘ کسی کے کان چیر دیے کہ یہ فلاں بت کے لیے یا فلاں دیوی کے لیے ہے۔ ایسے جانور جہاں چاہیں منہ ماریں ‘ انہیں کوئی کچھ نہیں کہہ سکتا تھا۔ ظاہر ہے ان کا گوشت کیسے کھایا جاسکتا تھا ! تو عرب میں بھی یہ رواج تھے اور ظہور اسلام کے بعد بھی ان کے کچھ نہ کچھ اثرات ابھی باقی تھے۔ آباء و اَجداد کی رسمیں جو قرنوں سے چلی آرہی ہوں وہ آسانی سے چھوٹتی نہیں ہیں ‘ کچھ نہ کچھ اثرات رہتے ہیں۔ جیسے آج بھی ہمارے ہاں ہندوانہ اثرات موجود ہیں۔ تو ایسے لوگوں سے کہا جا رہا ہے کہ مشرکانہ توہماتّ کی بنیاد پر تمہارے مشرک باپ دادا نے اگر کچھ چیزوں کو حرام ٹھہرا لیا تھا اور کچھ کو حلال قرار دے لیا تھا تو اس کی کوئی حیثیت نہیں۔ تم شیطان کی پیروی میں مشرکانہ توہمات کے تحت اللہ تعالیٰ کی حلال ٹھہرائی ہوئی چیزوں کو حرام مت ٹھہراؤ۔ جو چیز بھی اصلاً حلال اور پاکیزہ و طیب ہے اسے کھاؤ۔
