- وَلَىِٕنْاور البتہ اگر
- اَتَیْتَلائیں آپ (ان کے پاس)
- الَّذِیْنَوہ جو
- اُوْتُوادیئے گئے
- الْكِتٰبَکتاب
- بِكُلِّہر
- اٰیَةٍنشانی
- مَّانہیں
- تَبِعُوْاوہ پیروی کریں گے
- قِبْلَتَكَ ۚآپ کے قبلے کی
- وَمَاۤاور نہیں
- اَنْتَآپ
- بِتَابِعٍپیروی کرنے والے
- قِبْلَتَهُمْ ۚان کے قبلے کی

Translation and commentary
Bayan-ul-Quran
اور (اے نبی ﷺ !) اگر آپ ان اہل کتاب کے سامنے ہر قسم کی نشانیاں پیش کردیں تب بھی یہ آپ کے قبلے کی پیروی نہیں کریں گے اور نہ ہی اب آپ پیروی کرنے والے ہیں ان کے قبلے کی اور نہ ہی وہ ایک دوسرے کے قبلے کی پیروی کرنے والے ہیں اور (اے نبی ﷺ ! بالفرض) اگر آپ نے ان کی خواہشات کی پیروی کی اس علم کے بعد جو آپ کے پاس آچکا ہے تو بلاشبہ آپ بھی ظلم کرنے والوں میں سے ہوجائیں گے

Commentary
آیت 145 وَلَءِنْ اَتَیْتَ الَّذِیْنَ اُوْتُوا الْکِتٰبَ بِکُلِّ اٰیَۃٍ مَّا تَبِعُوْا قِبْلَتَکَ ج وَمَآ اَنْتَ بِتَابِعٍ قِبْلَتَہُمْ ج یہ تو لَکُمْ دِیْنُکُمْ وَلِیَ دِیْنِ والا معاملہ ہوگیا۔وَمَا بَعْضُہُمْ بِتَابِعٍ قِبْلَۃَ بَعْضٍ ط۔ حد یہ ہے کہ یہ خود آپس میں ایک دوسرے کے قبلے کی پیروی نہیں کرتے۔ اگرچہ یہود و نصاریٰ سب کا قبلہ یروشلم ہے ‘ لیکن عین یروشلم میں جا کر یہودی ہیکل سلیمانی کا مغربی گوشہ اختیار کرتے تھے اور مغرب کی طرف رخ کرتے تھے ‘ جبکہ نصاریٰ مشرق کی طرف رخ کرتے تھے ‘ اس لیے کہ حضرت مریم سلامٌ علیہا نے جس مکان میں اعتکاف کیا تھا اور جہاں فرشتہ ان کے پاس آیا تھا وہ ہیکل کے مشرقی گوشے میں تھا ‘ جس کے لیے قرآن حکیم میں مَکَانًا شَرْقِیًّا کا لفظ آیا ہے۔ عیسائیوں نے اسی مشرقی گھر کو اپنا قبلہ بنا لیا۔
