Translation and commentary

Tafheem-ul-Quran

ذکر ہے1 اُس رحمت کا جو تیرے ربّ نے اپنے بندے زکریا2 پر کی تھی

  2.  یہ حضرت زکریا جن کا ذکر یہاں ہو رہا ہے  حضرت ہارون کے خاندان سے تھے ۔ ان کو پوزیشن ٹھیک ٹھیک سمجھنے کے لئے ضروری ہے کہ بنی اسرائیل کے نظام کہانت (Priesthood ) کو اچھی طرح سمجھ لیا جائے فلسطین پر قابض ہونے کے بعد بنی اسرائیل نے ملک کا انتظام اس طرح کیا تھا کہ حضرت یعقوب کی اولاد کے 12قبیلوں میں تو سارا ملک تقسیم کر دیا گیا ، اور تیرھواں قبیلہ (یعنی لاوی بن یعقوب کا گھرانا ) مذہبی خدمات کے لئے مخصوص  رہا پھر بنی لاوی میں سے بھی اصل وہ خاندان جو ،مقدس میں خداوند کے آگے بخور جلا نے کی خدمت ' اور پاک ترین چیزوں کی تقدیس کا کام '' کرتا تھا، حضرت ہارون کا خاندان تھا۔ باقی دوسرے بنی لاوی مقدس کے اندر نہیں جا سکتے تھے بلکہ خداوند کے گھر کی خدمت کے وقت صحنوں اور کوٹھڑیوں میں کام کرتے تھے، سبت کے دن اور عیدوں کے موقع پر سوختنی قربانیاں چڑھاتے تھے ، اور مقدس کی نگرانی میں بنی ہارون کا ہاتھ بٹاتے تھے۔ بنی ہارون کے چوبیس خاندان تھے جو باری باری سے مقدس کی خدمت کے لئے حاضر ہوتے ۔ انہی خاندانوں میں سے ایک ابیاہ کا خاندان تھا جس کے سردار حضرت زکریا تھے۔ اپنے خاندان کی باری کے دنوں میں یہی مقدس میں جاتے اور بخور جلا نے کی خدمت انجام دیتے تھے۔ (تفصیل کے لئے ملاحظہ ہو بائیبل کی کتاب توار یخ اول ۔باب 23(24)

یہ ذکر ہے آپ کے رب کی رحمت کا جو اس نے اپنے بندے زکریا پر کی

Commentary

آیت 2 ذِکْرُ رَحْمَتِ رَبِّکَ عَبْدَہٗ زَکَرِیَّا ”یہاں ذکر تو حضرت عیسیٰ کا کرنا مقصود ہے مگر آپ کے ذکر سے پہلے حضرت یحییٰ کا ذکر کیا جا رہا ہے کیونکہ حضرت یحییٰ کی ولادت بھی تو ایک بہت بڑا معجزہ تھی۔ حضرت زکریا بہت بوڑھے ہوچکے تھے اور آپ کی اہلیہ بھی نہ صرف بوڑھی تھیں بلکہ عمر بھر بانجھ بھی رہی تھیں۔ ان حالات میں ان کے ہاں بیٹے کی پیدائش کوئی معمول کا واقعہ نہیں تھا۔ یہی وجہ ہے کہ اس واقعہ کو یہاں اللہ تعالیٰ کی رحمت خاص کا مظہر قرار دیا گیا ہے۔
