  1. اٰتُوْنِیْدو مجھ کو

  6. سَاوٰیبرابر کردیا

  8. الصَّدَفَیْنِدو کناروں کے

  10. انْفُخُوْا ؕپھونکو
  11. حَتّٰۤییہاں تک کہ
  12. اِذَاجب
  13. جَعَلَهٗکردیا اس کو
  14. نَارًا ۙآگ
  15. قَالَکہا
  16. اٰتُوْنِیْۤدو مجھ کو
  17. اُفْرِغْمیں انڈیلوں
  18. عَلَیْهِاس پر
  19. قِطْرًاپگھلا ہوا تانبا

Translation and commentary

Tafheem-ul-Quran

مجھے لوہے کی چادریں لا کر دو" آخر جب دونوں پہاڑوں کے درمیانی خلا کو اس نے پاٹ دیا تو لوگوں سے کہا کہ اب آگ دہکاؤ حتیٰ کہ جب (یہ آہنی دیوار) بالکل آگ کی طرح سُرخ ہو گئی تو اس نے کہا "لاؤ، اب میں اس پر پگھلا ہوا تانبا انڈیلوں گا"

لاؤ میرے پاس تختے لوہے کے یہاں تک کہ جب اس نے برابر کردیا دونوں اونچائیوں کے درمیان (کی جگہ) کو اس نے کہا : اب آگ دہکاؤ یہاں تک کہ جب بنا دیا اس نے اس کو آگ (کی مانند) ُ س نے کہا : لاؤ میرے پاس میں ڈال دوں اس پر پگھلا ہوا تانبا

Commentary (one passage for ayahs 18:96, 18:97)

حَتّٰى اِذَا سَاوٰى بَيْنَ الصَّدَفَيْنِ جب لوہے کے تختوں کو جوڑ کر انہوں نے دونوں پہاڑوں کے درمیانی درّے میں دیوار کھڑی کردی تو : قَالَ انْفُخُوْااس نے بڑے پیمانے پر آگ جلا کر ان تختوں کو گرم کرنے کا حکم دیا۔حَتّٰى اِذَا جَعَلَهٗ نَارًاجب لوہے کے وہ تختے گرم ہو کر سرخ ہوگئے تو :قَالَ اٰتُوْنِيْٓ اُفْرِغْ عَلَيْهِ قِطْرًااور یوں ذوالقرنین نے لوہے کے تختوں اور پگھلے ہوئے تانبے کے ذریعے سے ایک انتہائی مضبوط دیوار بنا دی۔ اس دیوار کے آثار بحیرۂ کیسپین کے مغربی ساحل کے ساتھ ساتھ دار یال اور دربند کے درمیان اب بھی موجود ہیں۔ یہ دیوار پچاس میل لمبی انتیس فٹ اونچی اور دس فٹ چوڑی تھی۔ آج سے سینکڑوں سال پہلے لوہے اور تانبے کی اتنی بڑی مصر کے اسوان ڈیم سے بھی بڑی جسے اَسَدّ الاعلٰی کہا جاتا ہے دیوار تعمیر کرنا یقیناً ایک بہت بڑا کارنامہ تھا۔
