پھر جب ان دونوں میں سے پہلے وعدے کا وقت آگیا تو ہم نے تم پر مسلط کردیے اپنے سخت جنگجو بندے تو وہ تمہاری آبادیوں میں گھس گئے اور (یوں ہمارا) جو وعدہ تھا وہ پورا ہو کر رہا

Commentary
آیت 5 فَاِذَا جَاۗءَ وَعْدُ اُوْلٰىهُمَا بَعَثْنَا عَلَيْكُمْ عِبَادًا لَّنَآ اُولِيْ بَاْسٍ شَدِيْدٍ فَجَاسُوْا خِلٰلَ الدِّيَارِ ۭ وَكَانَ وَعْدًا مَّفْعُوْلًایعنی اللہ تعالیٰ کی طرف سے جو تم پر واضح کیا گیا تھا کہ جب تم لوگ دین سے برگشتہ ہوجاؤ گے ‘ جب تم اللہ کی کتاب اور اس کے احکام کو ہنسی مذاق بنا لو گے تو تم ضرور اللہ کے عذاب کا نشانہ بنو گے۔ چناچہ ان کے دین سے برگشتہ ہوجانے کے بعد آشوریوں اور عراق کے بادشاہ بخت نصر کے ہاتھوں ان پر عذاب کا کوڑا برسا جس کے نتیجے میں دونوں اسرائیلی سلطنتیں ختم ہوگئیں یروشلم مکمل طور پر تباہ ہوگیا ہیکل سلیمانی مسمار کردیا گیا ‘ چھ لاکھ یہودی قتل ہوگئے جبکہ چھ لاکھ کو غلام بنا لیا گیا۔
