  1. فَلَاپس نہ
  2. تَضْرِبُوْاتم بیان کرو
  3. لِلّٰهِاللہ کے لیے
  4. الْاَمْثَالَ ؕمثالیں
  5. اِنَّبیشک

  7. یَعْلَمُجانتا ہے
  8. وَاَنْتُمْاور تم

Translation and commentary

Tafheem-ul-Quran

پس اللہ کے لیے مثالیں نہ گھڑو1، اللہ جانتا ہے، تم نہیں جانتے

  1. ”اللہ کے لیے مثالیں نہ گھڑو“، یعنی اللہ کو دنیوی بادشاہوں اور راجوں اور مہاراجوں پر قیاس نہ کرو کہ جس طرح کوئی ان کے مصاحبوں اور مُقرب بار گاہ ملازموں کے توسّط کے بغیر اُن تک اپنی عرض  معروض نہیں پہنچا سکتا اسی طرح  اللہ کے متعلق بھی تم یہ گمان کرنے لگو کہ وہ اپنے قصر شاہی میں ملائکہ اور اولیاء اور دوسرے مقربین کے درمیان گھِرا بیٹھا ہے اور کسی کاکوئی کام اِن واسطوں کے بغیر اس کے ہاں سے نہیں بن سکتا۔

تو اللہ کے لیے مثالیں بیان نہ کیا کرو بیشک اللہ جانتا ہے تم نہیں جاتے

Commentary

آیت 74 فَلَا تَضْرِبُوْا لِلّٰهِ الْاَمْثَالَ قبل ازیں اسی سورت آیت 60 میں ہم پڑھ چکے ہیں : وَلِلّٰہِ الْمَثَلُ الْاَعْلٰی ”اور اللہ کی مثال سب سے بلند ہے“ لیکن اس کا ترجمہ بالعموم یوں کیا جاتا ہے : ”اللہ کی صفت بہت بلند ہے“۔ یا ”اللہ کی شان بہت بلند ہے“۔ اس لیے کہ اللہ کے لیے کوئی مثال بیان نہیں کی جاسکتی۔ انسانی سطح پر بات سمجھنے اور سمجھانے کے لیے کچھ نہ کچھ تمثیلی الفاظ تو استعمال کرنے پڑتے ہیں ‘ مثلاً اللہ کا چہرہ اللہ کا ہاتھ اللہ کا تخت اللہ کی کرسی اللہ کا عرش وغیرہ ‘ لیکن ایسے الفاظ سے ہم نہ تو حقیقت کا اظہار کرسکتے ہیں اور نہ ہی اللہ کی صفات اور اس کے افعال کی حقیقت کو جان سکتے ہیں۔ اسی لیے منع کردیا گیا ہے کہ اللہ کے لیے مثالیں بیان نہ کیا کرو۔ اس کی منطقی وجہ یہ ہے کہ ہم اگر اس ہستی کے لیے کوئی مثال لائیں گے تو عالم خلق سے لائیں گے جس کی ہرچیز محدود ہے۔ یا پھر ایسی کوئی مثال ہم اپنے ذہن سے لائیں گے ‘ جبکہ انسانی سوچ ‘ قوت متخیلہ اور تصورات بھی سب محدود ہیں۔ دوسری طرف اللہ تعالیٰ کی ذات مطلق Absolute ہے اور اس کی صفات بھی مطلق ہیں۔ چناچہ انسان کے لیے یہ ممکن ہی نہیں کہ ایسی مطلق ہستی کے لیے کوئی مثال بیان کرسکے۔ اسی لیے سورة الشوریٰ کی آیت 11 میں دو ٹوک انداز میں فرما دیا گیا : لَیْسَ کَمِثْلِہٖ شَیْءٌ کہ اس کی مثال کی سی بھی کوئی شے موجود نہیں۔
