  1. وَاللّٰهُاور اللہ نے
  2. خَلَقَكُمْپیدا کیا تم کو
  3. ثُمَّپھر
  4. یَتَوَفّٰىكُمْ ۙ۫وہ فوت کرتا ہے تم کو
  5. وَمِنْكُمْاور تم میں سے
  6. مَّنْکوئی
  7. یُّرَدُّپھیرا جاتا ہے
  8. اِلٰۤیطرف
  9. اَرْذَلِحقیر تر
  10. الْعُمُرِعمر کی طرف
  11. لِكَیْتاکہ
  12. لَانہ
  13. یَعْلَمَجانے
  14. بَعْدَبعد
  15. عِلْمٍعلم کے
  16. شَیْـًٔا ؕکچھ بھی
  17. اِنَّبیشک
  18. اللّٰهَاللہ
  19. عَلِیْمٌعلم والا ہے
  20. قَدِیْرٌقدرت والا ہے

Translation and commentary

Tafheem-ul-Quran

اور دیکھو، اللہ نے تم کو پیدا کیا، پھر وہ تم کو موت دیتا ہے1، اور تم میں سے کوئی بدترین عمر کو پہنچا دیا جاتا ہے تاکہ سب کچھ جاننے کے بعد پھر کچھ نہ جانے۔2 حق یہ ہے کہ اللہ ہی علم میں بھی کامل ہے اور قدرت میں بھی

  1.  یعنی حقیقت صر ف اتنی  ہی نہیں  ہے کہ تمہاری پرورش اور رزق رسانی کا سارا انتظام اللہ کے ہاتھ میں ہے بلکہ حقیقت یہ بھی ہے کہ تمہاری زندگی اور موت دونوں اللہ کے قبضۂ قدرت میں ہیں۔ کوئی دوسرا نہ زندگی بخشنے کا اختیار رکھتا ہے نہ موت دینے کا۔

  2. یعنی یہ علم جس پر تم ناز کرتے ہو اور جس کی بدولت ہی زمین کی دوسری مخلوقات پر تم ک شرف حاصل ہے، یہ بھی خدا کا بخشا ہوا ہے۔ تم اپنی آنکھوں سے یہ عبرت ناک منظر دیکھتے رہتے ہو کہ جب کسی انسان کو اللہ تعالیٰ بہت زیادہ لمبی عمر دے دیتا ہے تو وہی شخص جو کبھی جوانی میں دوسروں کو عقل سکھاتا تھا، کس طرح گوشت کا ایک لوتھڑا بن کر رہ جاتا ہے جسے اپنے تن بدن کا بھی ہوش نہیں رہتا۔
