Surah 16, ayah 28

  1. الَّذِیْنَوہ لوگ
  2. تَتَوَفّٰىهُمُروحیں قبض کرتے ہیں ان کی۔ فوت کرتے ہیں ان کو
  3. الْمَلٰٓىِٕكَةُفرشتے
  4. ظَالِمِیْۤ(اس حال میں کہ وہ) ظلم کرنے والے ہوتے ہیں
  5. اَنْفُسِهِمْ ۪اپنے نفسوں پر
  6. فَاَلْقَوُاتو ڈال دیتے ہیں
  7. السَّلَمَسپردگی۔ صلح
  8. مَا(کہتے ہیں) نہ
  9. كُنَّاتھے ہم
  10. نَعْمَلُہم کرتے
  11. مِنْکوئی
  12. سُوْٓءٍ ؕبرائی
  13. بَلٰۤیکیوں نہیں
  14. اِنَّبیشک
  15. اللّٰهَاللہ تعالیٰ
  16. عَلِیْمٌۢجاننے والا ہے
  17. بِمَاساتھ اس کے جو
  18. كُنْتُمْتھے تم
  19. تَعْمَلُوْنَتم عمل کرتے

Translation and commentary

Tafheem-ul-Quran

ہاں،1 اُنہی کافروں کے لیے جو اپنے نفس پر ظلم کرتے ہوئے جب ملائکہ کے ہاتھوں گرفتار ہوتے ہیں2 تو (سرکشی چھوڑ کر)فوراً ڈَگیں ڈال دیتے ہیں اور کہتے ہیں”ہم تو کوئی قصُور نہیں کر رہے تھے۔“ ملائکہ جواب دیتے ہیں”کر کیسے نہیں رہے تھے!اللہ تمہارے کرتُوتوں سے خوب واقف ہے

  1. یہ فقرہ اہلِ علم کے قول پر اضافہ کرتے ہوئے اللہ تعالیٰ خود بطور تشریح فرما رہا ہے۔ جن لوگوں نے اسے بھی اہلِ علم ہی کو قول سمجھا ہے انہیں بڑی تاویلوں سے بات بنانی پڑی ہے اور پھر بھی بات پوری نہیں بن سکی ہے۔

  2. یعنی جب موت کے وقت ملائکہ ان کی روحیں ان کے جسم سے نکال کر اپنے قبضے میں لے لیتے ہیں۔

Bayan-ul-Quran

جن (کی روحوں) کو قبض کرتے ہیں فرشتے اس حال میں کہ وہ اپنی جانوں پر ظلم کرنے والے تھے تو (اس وقت) وہ اطاعت پیش کریں گے کہ ہم تو کوئی برے کام نہیں کر رہے تھے (تو فرشتے کہیں گے) کیوں نہیں اللہ خوب جانتا ہے اسے جو کچھ تم کر رہے تھے

Commentary (one passage for ayahs 16:28, 16:29)

آیت 28 الَّذِيْنَ تَتَوَفّٰىهُمُ الْمَلٰۗىِٕكَةُ ظَالِمِيْٓ اَنْفُسِهِمْ ایسے لوگ جنہیں اپنی زندگی میں اللہ یاد ہے نہ آخرت نیکی کی رغبت ہے نہ برائی سے نفرت بس اپنی عیش کوشی اور نفس پرستی میں مگن ہیں۔ اسی حالت میں جب فرشتے ان کے پاس پروانۂ موت لے کر آ دھمکیں گے :بَلٰٓى اِنَّ اللّٰهَ عَلِيْمٌۢ بِمَا كُنْتُمْ تَعْمَلُوْنَ موت کے فرشتوں کے سامنے وہ سرتسلیم خم کرتے ہوئے اپنے اسلام اور اطاعت کا اظہار کریں گے اور اس طرح ان کے سامنے بھی جھوٹ بولنے کی کوشش کریں گے۔
