اور ان لوگوں پر جو یہودی ہوئے ہم نے حرام کی تھیں (وہ چیزیں) جو ہم بیان کرچکے ہیں آپ پر اس سے پہلے اور ہم نے ان پر ظلم نہیں کیا بلکہ وہ خود اپنی جانوں پر ظلم ڈھاتے رہے

Commentary
آیت 118 وَعَلَي الَّذِيْنَ هَادُوْا حَرَّمْنَا مَا قَصَصْنَا عَلَيْكَ مِنْ قَبْلُ اس بارے میں تفصیل سورة آل عمران : 93 ‘ النساء : 140 اور الانعام : 146 میں گزر چکی ہے۔ حضرت یعقوب نے اپنی مرضی سے اپنے اوپر اونٹ کا گوشت حرام کرلیا تھا ‘ جس کی تعمیل بعد میں وہ پوری قوم کرتی رہی۔ اس کے علاوہ مختلف حیوانات کی چربی بھی بنی اسرائیل پر حرام کردی گئی تھی۔
