Tafheem-ul-Quran

اور وہ علاقہ (جہاں یہ واقعہ پیش آیا تھا)گزر گاہ ِعام پر واقع ہے،1

  1. یعنی حجاز سے شام اور عراق سے مصر جاتے ہوئے یہ تبا ہ شدہ علاقہ راستہ میں پڑتا ہے اور عمومًا قافلوں کے لوگ تباہی کے اُن آثار کو دیکھتے ہیں  جو اس پورے علاقے میں آج تک نمایاں ہیں۔ یہ علاقہ بحرِ لوط (بحیرۂ مردار کے مشرق اور  جنوب میں واقع ہے اور خصوصیت  کے ساتھ  اس کے جنوبی حصّے  کے متعلق جغرافیہ دانوں کا بیان ہے کہ یہاں اِس درجہ ویرانی پائی جاتی ہے جس کی نظیر  روئے زمین پر کہیں اور نہیں دیکھی گئی۔
