Translation and commentary

Tafheem-ul-Quran

اور اے نبی ؐ ، جس بُرے انجام کی دھمکی ہم اِن لوگوں کو دے رہے ہیں اُس کا کوئی حصہ خواہ ہم تمہارے جیتے جی دکھا دیں یا اس کے ظہُور میں آنے سے پہلے ہم تمہیں اُٹھا لیں، بہر حال تمہارا کام صرف پیغام پہنچا دینا ہے اور اُسے حساب لینا ہمارا کام ہے۔1

  1. مطلب یہ ہے کہ تم اس فکر میں نہ پڑو کہ جن لوگوں نے تمہاری اِس دعوتِ حق کو جھٹلا دیا ہے ان کا انجام کیا ہوتا ہے  اور کب وہ ظہور میں آتا ہے۔ تمہارے سپرد جو کام کیا گیا ہے اُسے پوری یکسوئی کے ساتھ کیے چلے جاؤ اور فیصلہ  ہم پر چھوڑ دو۔ یہاں بظاہر خطاب نبی صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے ہے، مگر دراصل بات اُن مخالفین کو سنانی مقصود ہے جو چیلنج کے  انداز میں بار بار حضور سے کہتے تھے کہ ہماری جس شامت کی دھمکیاں تم ہمیں دیا کرتے ہو آخر وہ آکیوں نہیں جاتی۔

اور خواہ ہم دکھا دیں آپ کو اس کا کچھ حصہ جس کی ہم ان کو دھمکی دے رہے ہیں یا ہم آپ کو وفات دے دیں پس آپ کے ذمہ تو پہنچانا ہی ہے اور ہمارے ذمہ حساب لینا ہے

Commentary

آیت 40 وَاِنْ مَّا نُرِيَنَّكَ بَعْضَ الَّذِيْ نَعِدُهُمْ اَوْ نَتَوَفَّيَنَّكَ یعنی یہ بھی ہوسکتا ہے کہ آپ کی زندگی ہی میں ان کو عذاب الٰہی میں سے کچھ حصہ مل جائے اور یہ بھی ہوسکتا ہے کہ آپ کی زندگی میں ان پر ایسا وقت نہ آئے بلکہ عذاب کے ظہور میں آنے سے پہلے ہم آپ کو وفات دے دیں۔فَاِنَّمَا عَلَيْكَ الْبَلٰغُ وَعَلَيْنَا الْحِسَابُ آپ پر ہمارا پیغام پہنچانے کی ذمہ داری تھی سو آپ نے یہ ذمہ داری احسن طریقہ سے ادا کردی۔ اب ان کو ہدایت دینا یا نہ دینا ان پر عذاب بھیجنا یا نہ بھیجنا اور ان کا حساب لینا یہ سب کچھ ہمارے ذمے ہے اور ہم یہ فیصلے اپنی مشیت کے مطابق کریں گے۔
