  1. فَلَمَّاپھر جب
  2. دَخَلُوْاوہ داخل ہوئے
  3. عَلَیْهِاس پر
  4. قَالُوْاکہنے لگے
  5. یٰۤاَیُّهَااے
  6. الْعَزِیْزُعزیز
  7. مَسَّنَاپہنچی ہم کو
  8. وَاَهْلَنَااور ہمارے گھر والوں کو
  9. الضُّرُّتکلیف
  10. وَجِئْنَااور لائے ہیں ہم
  11. بِبِضَاعَةٍپونچی
  12. مُّزْجٰىةٍحقیر سی
  13. فَاَوْفِپس پورا پورا دے دیجئے
  14. لَنَاہم کو
  15. الْكَیْلَپیمانہ
  16. وَتَصَدَّقْاور صدقہ کر
  17. عَلَیْنَا ؕہم پر
  18. اِنَّبیشک
  19. اللّٰهَاللہ تعالیٰ
  20. یَجْزِیجزا دیتا ہے
  21. الْمُتَصَدِّقِیْنَصدقہ کرنے والوں کو

Translation and commentary

Tafheem-ul-Quran

جب یہ لوگ مصر جا کر یُوسُف ؑ کی پیشی میں داخل ہوئےتو انہوں نے عرض کیا”اے سردار با اقتدار، ہم اور ہمارے اہل و عیال سخت مصیبت میں مُبتلا ہیں، اور ہم کچھ حقیر سی پُونجی لے کر آئے ہیں، آپ ہمیں بھرپور غلّہ عنایت فرمائیں اور ہم کو خیرات دیں1، اللہ خیرات کرنے والوں کو جزا دیتا ہے۔“

  1. یعنی ہماری اس گزارش پر جو کچھ آپ دیں گے وہ گویا آپ کا صدقہ ہو گا۔ اس غلے کی قیمت میں جو پونجی ہم پیش کر رہے ہیں وہ تو بے شک اس لائق نہیں ہے کہ ہم  کو اُس قدر غلہ دیا جائے جو ہماری ضرورت کو کافی ہو۔

پھر جب وہ لوگ یوسف کے ہاں پہنچے انہوں نے کہا : اے عزیز (صاحب اختیار) ! ہم پر اور ہمارے اہل و عیال پر بڑی سختی آگئی ہے اور ہم بہت حقیر سی پونجی لے کر آئے ہیں لیکن (اس کے باوجود) آپ ہمارے لیے پیمانے پورے بھر کردیجیے اور ہمیں خیرات بھی دیجیے یقیناً اللہ صدقہ دینے والوں کو جزاد یتا ہے

Commentary

آیت 88 فَلَمَّا دَخَلُوْا عَلَيْهِ اگلے سال جب وہ لوگ اپنے والد کے حکم کے مطابق مصر پہنچے اور پھر حضرت یوسف کے سامنے پیش ہوئے۔قَالُوْا يٰٓاَيُّهَا الْعَزِيْزُ مَسَّنَا وَاَهْلَنَا الضُّرُّ کئی سال سے لگاتار قحط کا سماں تھا۔ آہستہ آہستہ اس کے اثرات زیادہ شدت کے ساتھ ظاہر ہو رہے ہوں گے۔ بھیڑبکریاں بھی ختم ہوچکی ہوں گی۔ اب تو ان کی اون بھی نہیں ہوگی جو اناج کی قیمت کے عوض دے سکیں۔وَجِئْنَا بِبِضَاعَةٍ مُّزْجٰىةٍ فَاَوْفِ لَنَا الْكَيْلَ اس دفعہ ہم جو چیزیں غلے کی قیمت ادا کرنے کے لیے لے کر آئے ہیں وہ بہت کم اور ناقص ہیں۔ ہم جانتے ہیں کہ ان سے غلے کی قیمت پوری نہیں ہوسکتی۔وَتَصَدَّقْ عَلَيْنَا اپنے انتہائی خراب حالات کی وجہ سے ہم چونکہ خیرات کے مستحق ہوچکے ہیں ‘ اس لیے آپ سے درخواست ہے کہ اس دفعہ کچھ غلہ آپ ہمیں خیرات میں بھی دیں۔ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ يَجْزِي الْمُتَصَدِّقِيْنَ چونکہ حضرت یوسف کے لیے یہ ساری صورت حال بہت رقت انگیز تھی اس لیے آپ مزید ضبط نہیں کرسکے اور آپ نے انہیں اپنے بارے میں بتانے کا فیصلہ کرلیا۔
