  1. قَالَتْوہ کہنے لگی
  2. فَذٰلِكُنَّتو یہ ہے
  3. الَّذِیْوہ شخص
  4. لُمْتُنَّنِیْتم ملامت کرتی تھیں مجھ کو
  5. فِیْهِ ؕاس کے بارے میں
  6. وَلَقَدْاور البتہ تحقیق
  7. رَاوَدْتُّهٗمیں نے پھسلانا چاہا اس کو
  8. عَنْسے
  9. نَّفْسِهٖاس کے نفس سے
  10. فَاسْتَعْصَمَ ؕتو بچا گیا۔ بچ نکلا
  11. وَلَىِٕنْاور البتہ اگر
  12. لَّمْنہ
  13. یَفْعَلْکرے
  14. مَاۤجو
  15. اٰمُرُهٗمیں حکم دیتی ہوں اس کو
  16. لَیُسْجَنَنَّالبتہ ضرور قید کیا جائے گا
  17. وَلَیَكُوْنًااور البتہ ہوجائے گا
  18. مِّنَسے
  19. الصّٰغِرِیْنَذلیل ہونے والوں میں سے

Translation and commentary

Tafheem-ul-Quran

عزیز کی بیوی نے کہا”دیکھ لیا! یہ ہے وہ شخص جس کے معاملہ میں تم مجھ پر باتیں بناتی تھیں۔ بےشک میں نے اِسے رجہانے کی کوشش کی تھی مگر یہ بچ نِکلا۔ اگر یہ میرا کہنا نہ مانے گا تو قید کیا جائے گا اور بہت ذلیل و خوار ہوگا۔“1

  1. اس سے اندازہ  ہوتا ہے کہ اُس وقت مصر کے اونچے طبقوں کی اخلاقی حالت کیا تھی۔ ظاہر ہے کہ عزیز کی بیوی نے جن عورتوں  کو بلایا ہو گا وہ امراء و رؤسا اور بڑے  عہدہ داروں کے گھر کی بیگمات ہی ہوں گی۔ ان عالی مرتبہ خواتین کے سامنے وہ اپنے محبوب نوجوان کو پیش کرتی ہے اور اس کی خوبصورت جوانی دکھا کر انہیں قائل کرنے کی کوشش کرتی ہے کہ ایسے جوانِ رعنا پر میں مر نہ مٹتی  تو آخر اور کیا کرتی۔ پھر یہ بڑے گھروں کی بہو بیٹیاں خود بھی اپنے عمل سے گویا اس امر کی تصدیق فرماتی ہیں کہ واقعی ان میں سے ہر ایک ایسے حالات میں وہی کچھ کرتی جو بیگم عزیز نے کیا۔ پھر شریف خواتین کی اس بھر ی مجلس میں معزز میزبان کو علانیہ اپنے اِس عزم کا اظہار کرتے ہوئے کوئی شرم محسوس نہیں ہوتی کہ اگر اس کا خوبصورت غلام اس کی خواہشِ نفس کا کھلونا  بننے پر راضی نہ ہو ا تو وہ اسے جیل بھجوا دے گی۔ یہ سب کچھ اس بات کا پتہ دیتا ہے کہ یورپ اور امریکہ  اور ان کے مشرقی مقلدین آج عورتوں کی جس آزادی و بے باکی کو بیسویں صدی کا کرشمہ سمجھ رہے ہیں وہ کوئی نئی چیز نہیں ہے ، بہت پرانی چیز ہے۔ دقیانوس  سے سیکڑوں برس پہلے مصر میں یہ اسی شان کے ساتھ پائی جاتی تھی جیسی آج اِس ”روشن زمانے“ میں پائی جا رہی ہے۔

تو اس عورت نے کہا کہ یہ ہے وہ جس کے بارے میں تم مجھے ملامت کر رہی تھیں اور یقیناً میں نے اسے پھسلانا چاہا تھا لیکن وہ بچا رہا اور اگر اس نے وہ نہ کیا جو میں اسے حکم دے رہی ہوں تو وہ لازماً قید میں پڑے گا اور ضرور ذلیل ہو کر رہے گا

وَلَىِٕنْ لَّمْ يَفْعَلْ مَآ اٰمُرُهٗ لَيُسْجَنَنَّ وَلَيَكُوْنًا مِّنَ الصّٰغِرِيْنَ اس عورت کا دھڑلے سے خصوصی دعوت کا اہتمام کرنا اور اس میں سب کو فخر سے بتانا کہ دیکھ لو یہ ہے وہ شخص جس کے بارے میں تم مجھے ملامت کرتی تھیں اور پھر پوری بےحیائی سے اعلان کرنا کہ ایک دفعہ تو یہ مجھ سے بچ گیا ہے مگر کب تک ؟ آخر کار اسے میری بات ماننا ہوگی ! اس سے تصور کیا جاسکتا ہے کہ ان کی اس انتہائی اونچی سطح کی سوسائٹی کی مجموعی طور پر اخلاقی حالت کیا تھی !
