Tafheem-ul-Quran
اے محمد ؐ ، ہم اس قرآن کو تمہاری طرف وحی کر کے بہترین پیرایہ میں واقعات اور حقائق تم سے بیان کر تے ہیں، ورنہ اس سے پہلے تو (ان چیزوں سے)تم بالکل ہی بے خبر تھے۔1

سورہ کے دیباچے میں کرچکے ہیں کہ کفار مکہ میں سے بعض لوگوں نے آنحضرت صلی اللہ علیہ وسلّم کا امتحان لینے کے لیے، بلکہ اپنے نزدیک آپ کا بھرم کھولنے کے لیے، غالباً یہودیوں کے اشارے پر، آپ کے سامنے اچانک یہ سوال پیش کیا تھا کہ بنی اسرائیل کے مصر پہنچنے کا کیا سبب ہُوا۔ اسی بنا پر ان کے جواب میں تاریخ بنی اسرائیل کا یہ باب پیش کرنے سے پہلے تمہیداً یہ فقرہ ارشاد ہُوا ہے کہ اے محمد ؐ !تم ان واقعات سے بے خبر تھے، دراصل یہ ہم ہیں جو وحی کے ذریعہ سے تمہیں ان کی خبر دے رہے ہیں۔ بظاہر اس فقرے میں خطاب نبی ؐ سے ہے، لیکن اصل میں روئے سخن اُن مخالفین کی طرف ہے جن کو یقین نہ تھا کہ آپ کو وحی کے ذریعہ سے علم حاصل ہوتا ہے۔

Commentary
آیت 3 نَحْنُ نَقُصُّ عَلَیْکَ اَحْسَنَ الْقَصَصِ قَصَص ق کی زبر کے ساتھ یہاں بطور مصدر آیا ہے اور اس کے معنی ہیں ”بیان“۔ اگر لفظ قِصَص ق کی زیر کے ساتھ ہوتا تو قصہ کی جمع کے معنی دیتا ‘ اور اس صورت میں اس کا ترجمہ یوں ہوتا کہ ہم آپ کو بہترین قصہ سنا رہے ہیں۔ بِمَآ اَوْحَیْنَآ اِلَیْکَ ہٰذَا الْقُرْاٰنَق وَاِنْ کُنْتَ مِنْ قَبْلِہٖ لَمِنَ الْغٰفِلِیْنَ یعنی قرآن میں اس وحی سورت کے نزول سے پہلے آپ اس واقعہ سے واقف نہیں تھے۔
