Translation and commentary

Tafheem-ul-Quran

یُوسُف ؑ نے کہا”یہی مجھے پھانسنے کی کوشش کر رہی تھی۔“ اس عورت کے اپنے کنبہ والوں میں سے ایک شخص نے(قرینے کی)شہادت پیش کی1 کہ ”اگر یُوسُف ؑ کا قمیص آگے سے پھٹا ہو تو عورت سچی ہے اور یہ جھُوٹا

  1. اس معاملہ کی نوعیت یہ سمجھ میں آتی ہے کہ صاحب خانہ کے ساتھ خود اس عورت کے بھائی بندوں میں سے بھی کوئی شخص آرہا ہوگا اور اس نے یہ تضیہ سُن کر کہا ہوگا کہ جب یہ دونوں ایک دوسرے پر الزام لگاتے ہیں اور موقع کا گواہ کوئی نہیں ہے تو قرینہ کہ شہادت سے اس معاملہ کی یوں تحقیق کی جاسکتی ہے بعض روایات میں بیان کیا گیا ہے کہ یہ موادت پیش کرنے والا ایک شیر خوار بچہ تھا جو وہاں پنگھڑے میں لیٹا ہُوا تھا اور خدانے اسے گویائی عطا کرکے اس سے یہ شہادت دلوائی۔ لیکن یہ روایت نہ تو کسی صحیح سند سے شہادت ہے اور نہ اس معاملے میں خواہ مخواہ معجزے سے مدد لینے کی کوئی ضرورت ہی محسوس ہوتی ہے۔ اُ س شاہد نے قرینے کی جس شہادت کی طرف توجہ دلائی ہے وہ سراسر ایک معقول شہادت ہے اور اس کو دیکھنے سے بیک نظر معلوم ہوجاتا ہے کہ یہ مخص ایک معاملہ فہم اور جہاندیدہ آدمی تھا جو صورت معاملہ سامنے آتے ہی اس کی تہ کو پہنچ گیا۔ بعید نہیں کہ وہ کوئی جج یا مجسٹریٹ ہو۔ (مفسّرین کے ہاں شیر خور بچے کی شہادت کا قصہ دراصل یہودی روایات سے آیا ہے۔ ملاحظہ ہو اقتباساتِ تَلمود ازپال اسحاق ہرشون، لندن، سن ١88۰۔صفحہ 256

آپ نے فرمایا کہ اسی نے مجھے پھسلانا چاہا تھا اور گواہی دی عورت کے خاندان والوں میں سے ایک گواہ نے اگر تو اس کی قمیص پھٹی ہے سامنے سے تو یہ سچی ہے اور وہ جھوٹا ہے

Commentary

آیت 26 قَالَ هِىَ رَاوَدَتْنِيْ عَنْ نَّفْسِيْ صورت حال بہت نازک اور خطرناک رخ اختیار کرچکی تھی۔ حضرت یوسف کو بھی اپنے دفاع میں کچھ نہ کچھ تو کہنا تھا۔ لہٰذا آپ نے صاف صاف بتادیا کہ خود اس عورت نے مجھے گناہ پر آمادہ کرنے کی کوشش کی ہے۔وَشَهِدَ شَاهِدٌ مِّنْ اَهْلِهَااس عورت کے اپنے رشتہ داروں میں سے بھی کوئی شخص موقع پر آپہنچا۔ اس نے موقع محل دیکھ کر وقوعہ کے بارے میں بڑی مدلل اور خوبصورت قرائنی شہادت circumstancial evidence دی کہ :اِنْ كَانَ قَمِيْصُهٗ قُدَّ مِنْ قُبُلٍ فَصَدَقَتْ وَهُوَ مِنَ الْكٰذِبِيْنَ اگر عورت سے دست درازی کی کوشش ہو رہی تھی اور وہ اپنا تحفظ کر رہی تھی تو ظاہر ہے کہ حملہ آور کی قمیص سامنے سے پھٹنی چاہیے۔
