  1. وَجَآءَهٗاور آئی اس کے پاس
  2. قَوْمُهٗاس کی قوم
  3. یُهْرَعُوْنَدوڑتی ہوئی
  4. اِلَیْهِ ؕاس کی طرف
  5. وَمِنْاور اس سے
  6. قَبْلُپہلے
  7. كَانُوْاتھے وہ
  8. یَعْمَلُوْنَعمل کرتے
  9. السَّیِّاٰتِ ؕبرے
  10. قَالَاس نے کہا
  11. یٰقَوْمِاے میری قوم
  12. هٰۤؤُلَآءِیہ ہیں
  13. بَنَاتِیْمیری بیٹیاں
  14. هُنَّوہ
  15. اَطْهَرُزیادہ پاکیزہ ہیں
  16. لَكُمْتمہارے لیے
  17. فَاتَّقُواپس ڈرو
  18. اللّٰهَاللہ سے
  19. وَلَااور نہ
  20. تُخْزُوْنِتم رسوا کرو مجھے
  21. فِیْمیں
  22. ضَیْفِیْ ؕمیرے مہمانوں کے معاملے میں
  23. اَلَیْسَکیا نہیں ہے
  24. مِنْكُمْتم میں سے
  25. رَجُلٌکوئی شخص
  26. رَّشِیْدٌسمجھ دار

Translation and commentary

Tafheem-ul-Quran

(ان مہمانوں کا آنا تھا کہ) اس کی قوم کے لوگ بے اختیار اس کے گھر کی طرف دَوڑ پڑے۔ پہلے سے وہ ایسی ہی بدکاریوں کے خوگر تھے۔ لُوط ؑ نے ان سے کہا”بھائیو، یہ میری بیٹیاں موجود ہیں، یہ تمہارے لیے پاکیزہ تر ہیں۔1 کچھ خدا کا خوف کرو اور میرے مہمانوں کے معاملہ میں مجھے ذلیل نہ کرو۔ کیا تم میں کوئی بھلا آدمی نہیں ؟“

  1. ہو سکتا ہے کہ حضرت لوطؑ کا اشارہ قوم کی لڑکیوں کی طرف ہو۔ کیونکہ نبی اپنی قوم کے لیے بمنزلہ باپ ہوتا ہے اور قوم کی لڑکیاں اس کی نگاہ میں اپنی بیٹیوں کی طرح ہوتی ہیں۔ اور یہ بھی ہو سکتا ہے  کہ آپ کا اشارہ خود اپنی صاحبزادیوں کی طرف ہو۔ بہر حال دونوں صورتوں میں یہ گمان کرنے کی کوئی وجہ نہیں ہے کہ حضرت لوطؑ  ان سے زنا کرنے کے لیے کہا ہو گا۔ ”یہ تمہارے پاکیزہ تر ہیں“ کا فقرہ ایسا غلط مفہوم لینے کی کوئی گنجائش نہیں چھوڑتا ۔ حضرت لوطؑ کا منشا صاف طور پر یہ تھا کہ اپنی شہوتِ نفس کو اُس فطری اور جائز طریقے سے پورا کرو جو اللہ نے مقرر کیا ہے اور اس کے لیے عورتوں کی کمی نہیں ہے۔

Bayan-ul-Quran

اور آئے آپ کی قوم کے لوگ دیوانہ وار دوڑتے ہوئے آپ (کے گھر) کی طرف اور وہ پہلے سے ہی گندے کاموں میں ملوث تھے لوط ؑ نے فرمایا : اے میری قوم کے لوگو ! یہ میری بیٹیاں (موجود) ہیں وہ تمہارے لیے زیادہ پاکیزہ ہیں تو اللہ کا خوف کرو اور مجھے میرے مہمانوں کے معاملہ میں رسوا نہ کرو۔ کیا تم میں کوئی ایک آدمی بھی نیک چلن نہیں ہے

Commentary

قَالَ يٰقَوْمِ هٰٓؤُلَاۗءِ بَنَاتِيْ هُنَّ اَطْهَرُ لَكُمْ مفسرین نے اس کے ایک معنی تو یہ مراد لیے ہیں کہ تمہارے گھروں میں تمہاری بیویاں موجود ہیں جو میری بیٹیوں ہی کی مانند ہیں ‘ کیونکہ نبی اپنی پوری قوم کے لیے باپ کی طرح ہوتا ہے۔ جیسے سورة الاحزاب آیت 6 میں حضور کے بارے میں فرمایا گیا ہے : وَاَزْوَاجُہٗٓ اُمَّہٰتُہُمْ کہ آپ کی تمام ازواج مطہرات مؤمنین کی مائیں ہیں۔ اس کے دوسرے معنی یہ بھی ہوسکتے ہیں کہ حضرت لوط نے اپنی بیٹیوں کے بارے میں فرمایا کہ یہ میری بیٹیاں ہیں ان سے جائز اور پاکیزہ طریقے سے نکاح کرلو میں اس کے لیے تیار ہوں لیکن میرے ان مہمانوں کے بارے میں مجھے رسوا نہ کرو۔فَاتَّقُوا اللّٰهَ وَلَا تُخْزُوْنِ فِيْ ضَيْفِيْ ۭ اَلَيْسَ مِنْكُمْ رَجُلٌ رَّشِيْدٌ کیا تم لوگوں میں کوئی ایک بھی شریف النفس انسان نہیں ہے جو میرا ساتھ دے اور ان سب لوگوں کو بداخلاقی اور بےحیائی سے روکے۔
