وَلَقَدْاور البتہ تحقیق
جَآءَتْآگئے
رُسُلُنَاۤہمارے بھیجے ہوئے
اِبْرٰهِیْمَابراہیم کے پاس
بِالْبُشْرٰیخوش خبری کے ساتھ
قَالُوْاانہوں نے کہا
سَلٰمًا ؕسلام
قَالَوہ بولے
سَلٰمٌسلام
فَمَاپس نہیں
لَبِثَٹھہرے
اَنْمگر
جَآءَلے آئے
بِعِجْلٍایک بچھڑا
حَنِیْذٍتلا ہوا
۟

Translation and commentary

Tafheem-ul-Quran

اور دیکھو، ابراہیم ؑ کے پاس ہمارے فرشتے خوشخبری لیے ہوئے پہنچے۔ کہا ، تم پر سلام ہو۔ ابراہیم ؑ نے جواب دیا ، تم پر بھی سلام ہو۔ پھر کچھ دیر نہ گزری کہ ابراہیم ؑ ایک بُھنا ہوا بچھڑا (ان کی ضیافت کے لیے) لے آیا۔¹

اس سے معلوم ہوا کہ فرشتے حضرت ابراہیم ؑ کے ہاں انسانی صورت میں پہنچے تھے اور ابتداءً انہوں نے اپنا تعارف نہیں کرایا تھا۔ اس لیے حضرت ابراہیم ؑ نے خیال کیا کہ یہ کوئی اجنبی مہمان ہیں اور ان کے آتے ہی فورًا ان کی ضیافت کا انتظا م فرمایا۔
