آگاہ ہوجاؤ یہ لوگ اپنے سینوں کو دہرا کرتے ہیں تاکہ اللہ سے چھپ جائیں آگاہ ہوجاؤ کہ جب وہ اپنے اوپر اپنے کپڑے لپیٹتے ہیں تب بھی اللہ جانتا ہے جو کچھ وہ چھپا رہے ہوتے ہیں اور جو کچھ ظاہر کر رہے ہوتے ہیں۔ وہ تو اس کو بھی جانتا ہے جو کچھ سینوں کے اندر ہے

آیت 5 اَلاآ اِنَّہُمْ یَثْنُوْنَ صُدُوْرَہُمْ لِیَسْتَخْفُوْا مِنْہُ یہ مقام مشکلات القرآن میں سے ہے اور اس کے بارے میں بہت سے اقوال ہیں۔ ثَنٰی یَثْنِیْ کے معنی پھیرنے ‘ موڑنے اور لپیٹنے کے ہیں۔ مکہ میں رسول اللہ کی دعوت کے مخالفین میں سے کچھ لوگوں کا رویہ ایسا تھا کہ آپ کو آتے دیکھتے تو رخ بدل لیتے یا کپڑے کی اوٹ میں منہ چھپالیتے ‘ تاکہ کہیں آمنا سامنا نہ ہوجائے اور آپ انہیں مخاطب کر کے کچھ اپنی باتیں نہ کہنے لگیں۔ یہاں ایسے لوگوں کی طرف اشارہ ہے کہ یہ لوگ حق کا سامنا اور حقیقت کا مواجہہ کرنے سے گھبراتے ہیں ‘ حالانکہ کسی کے گریز کرنے سے حقیقت غائب نہیں ہوجاتی۔ شتر مرغ طوفان کے دوران اگر ریت میں سر چھپالے تو اس سے طوفان کا رخ تبدیل نہیں ہوجاتا۔ اس کے علاوہ ایک رائے وہ ہے جو بخاری شریف میں حضرت ابن عباس رض کے حوالے سے نقل ہوئی ہے کہ کچھ اہل ایمان پر حیا کا بہت زیادہ غلبہ تھا مثلاً حضرت عثمان ان اصحاب میں بہت نمایاں تھے ایسے لوگ کبھی غسل کے وقت بھی عریاں ہونا پسند نہیں کرتے تھے اور ایسے مواقع پر اس انداز سے جھک جاتے تھے کہ جہاں تک ممکن ہو ستر چھپا رہے۔ اسی طرح قضائے حاجت کے وقت بھی پورے ستر کا اہتمام کرتے تھے۔ اس حوالے سے اس حکم کا منشا یہ ہے کہ تم اس سلسلے میں جو کچھ بھی کرلو ‘ اللہ تعالیٰ کی نگاہوں سے تو نہیں چھپ سکتے ہو۔ لہٰذا ستر چھپانے کے بارے میں جو بھی احکامات ہیں ان کی معروف طریقے سے پیروی کرو۔ اس طرح کے کسی بھی معاملہ میں غلو کی ضرورت نہیں ہے۔
