  1. وَاِلٰیاور طرف
  2. عَادٍ(قوم) عاد کی
  3. اَخَاهُمْان کے بھائی
  4. هُوْدًا ؕہود کو (بھیجا)
  5. قَالَاس نے کہا
  6. یٰقَوْمِاے میری قوم
  7. اعْبُدُواعبادت کرو
  8. اللّٰهَاللہ کی
  9. مَانہیں
  10. لَكُمْتمہارے لیے
  11. مِّنْکوئی
  12. اِلٰهٍالہ (برحق)
  13. غَیْرُهٗ ؕاس کے سوا
  14. اِنْنہیں
  15. اَنْتُمْتم
  16. اِلَّامگر
  17. مُفْتَرُوْنَجھوٹ گھڑنے والے

Translation and commentary

Tafheem-ul-Quran

اور عاد کی طرف ہم نے ان کےبھائی ہُودؑ کو بھیجا۔1 اُس نے کہا”اے برادرانِ قوم، اللہ کی بندگی کرو ، تمہارا کوئی خدا اُس کے سوا نہیں ہے۔ تم نے محض جھُوٹ گھڑ رکھے ہیں۔2

  2. یعنی وہ تمام دوسرے معبود جن کی تم بندگی و پرستش کر رہے ہو حقیقت میں کسی قسم کی بھی خدائی صفات اور طاقتیں نہیں رکھتے۔ بندگی و پرستش کا کوئی استحقاق اُن کو حاصل نہیں ہے ۔ تم نے خواہ مخواہ ان کو معبود بنا  رکھا ہے اور بلاوجہ اُن سے حاجت روائی کی آس لگائے بیٹھے ہو۔
