وَاصْنَعِاور بنا لے
الْفُلْكَایک کشتی
بِاَعْیُنِنَاہماری نگاہوں کے سامنے
وَوَحْیِنَااور ہماری وحی کے مطابق
وَلَااور نہ
تُخَاطِبْنِیْتو مخاطب ہونا مجھ سے
فِیمیں
الَّذِیْنَان لوگوں کے بارے میں
ظَلَمُوْا ۚجنہوں نے ظلم کیا
اِنَّهُمْبیشک وہ
مُّغْرَقُوْنَغرق کیے جائیں گے
۟

Tafheem-ul-Quran

اور ہماری نگرانی میں ہماری وحی کے مطابق ایک کشتی بنانی شروع کر دو۔ اور دیکھو، جن لوگوں نے ظلم کیا ہے اُن کے حق میں مجھ سے کوئی سفارش نہ کرنا، یہ سارے کے سارے اب ڈوبنے والے ہیں۔¹

اس سے معلوم ہوا کہ جب نبی کا پیغام کسی قوم کو پہنچ جائے تو اسے صرف اس وقت تک مہلت ملتی ہے جب تک اس میں کچھ بھلے آدمیوں کے نکل آنے کا امکان باقی ہو۔ مگر جب اس کے صالح اجزاء سب نکل چکتے ہیں اور وہ صرف فاسد عناصر ہی کا مجموعہ رہ جاتی ہے تو اللہ اس قوم کو پھر کوئی مہلت نہیں دیتا اور اس کی رحمت کا تقاضا یہی ہوتا ہے کہ سڑے ہوئے پھلوں کے اس ٹوکرے کو دور پھینک دیا جائے تاکہ وہ اچھے پھلوں کو بھی خراب نہ کر دے۔ پھر اس پر رحم کھانا ساری دنیا کے ساتھ اور آنے والی نسلوں کے ساتھ بے رحمی ہے۔
