  1. وَلَقَدْاور البتہ تحقیق
  2. بَوَّاْنَاٹھکانہ دیا ہم نے
  3. بَنِیْۤبنی
  4. اِسْرَآءِیْلَاسرائیل کو
  5. مُبَوَّاَٹھکانہ
  6. صِدْقٍسچا۔ عمدہ
  7. وَّرَزَقْنٰهُمْاور رزق دیا ہم نے ان کو
  8. مِّنَمیں سے
  9. الطَّیِّبٰتِ ۚپاکیزہ چیزوں
  10. فَمَاتو نہیں
  11. اخْتَلَفُوْاانہوں نے اختلاف کیا
  12. حَتّٰییہاں تک کہ
  13. جَآءَهُمُآگیا ان کے پاس
  14. الْعِلْمُ ؕعلم
  15. اِنَّبیشک
  16. رَبَّكَتیرا رب
  17. یَقْضِیْفیصلہ کرے گا
  18. بَیْنَهُمْان کے درمیان
  19. یَوْمَدن
  20. الْقِیٰمَةِقیامت کے
  21. فِیْمَااس میں جو
  22. كَانُوْاتھے وہ
  23. فِیْهِاس میں
  24. یَخْتَلِفُوْنَاختلاف کرتے

Translation and commentary

Tafheem-ul-Quran

ہم نے بنی اسرائیل کو بہت اچھا ٹھکانہ دیا1 اور نہایت عمدہ وسائل ِ زندگی انہیں عطا کیے۔ پھر اُنہوں نے بہم اختلاف نہیں کیا مگر اُس وقت جب کہ علم اُن کے پاس آچکا تھا۔2 یقیناً تیرا ربّ قیامت کے روز اُن کے درمیان اُس چیز کا فیصلہ کر دے گا جس میں وہ اختلاف کر تے رہے ہیں

  2. مطلب یہ ہے کہ بعد میں انہوں نے اپنے دین میں جو تفرقے برپا کیے اور نئے نئے مذہب نکالے اس کی وجہ یہ نہیں تھی کہ ان کو حقیقت کا علم نہیں دیا گیا تھا اور ناواقفیت کی بنا پر انہوں نے مجبورًا ایسا کیا، بلکہ فی الحقیقت یہ سب کچھ ان کے اپنے نفس کی شرارتوں کا نتیجہ تھا۔ خدا کی طرف سے تو انہیں واضح طور پر بتا دیا گیا تھا کہ دینِ حق یہ ہے ، یہ اس کے اصول ہیں، یہ اس کے تقاضے اور مطالبے ہیں، یہ کفر و اسلام کے امتیازی حدود ہیں، طاعت اِس کو کہتے ہیں، معصیّت اِس کا نام ہے، اِن چیزوں کی باز پرس خدا کے ہاں ہونی ہے ، اور  یہ وہ قواعد ہیں جن پر دنیا میں تمہاری زندگی قائم ہونی چاہیے ۔ مگر ان صاف صاف ہدایتوں کے باوجود اُنہوں نےایک دین کے بیسیوں دین بنا ڈالے اور خدا کی دی ہوئی بنیادوں کو چھوڑ کر کچھ دوسری ہی بنیادوں پر اپنے مذہبی فرقوں کی عمارتیں کھڑی کر لیں۔

اور ہم نے بنی اسرائیل کو بہت ہی عمدہ جگہ فراہم کردی اور ہم نے انہیں پاکیزہ روزی دی پھر انہوں نے اختلاف نہیں کیا یہاں تک کہ ان کے پاس علم آگیا یقیناً آپ کا رب فیصلہ کرے گا ان کے مابین قیامت کے دن جن چیزوں میں وہ اختلاف کرتے رہے تھے

Commentary

فَمَا اخْتَلَفُوْا حَتّٰی جَآءَ ہُمُ الْعِلْمُ یعنی انہوں نے اس وقت اختلاف کیا اور تفرقے برپا کیے جبکہ ان کے پاس علم آچکا تھا۔ انہوں نے ایسا ناواقفیت کی بنیاد پر مجبوراً نہیں کیا تھا ‘ بلکہ یہ سب کچھ ان کے اپنے نفس کی شرارتوں کا نتیجہ تھا۔
