پھر اگر تم (اس سے) اعراض کرو تو میں نے تم لوگوں سے (کبھی) کوئی اجر تو نہیں مانگا میرا اجر تو اللہ ہی کے ذمہ ہے اور مجھے حکم ہوا ہے کہ میں اس کے فرمانبردار بندوں میں سے رہوں

Commentary
فَمَا سَاَلْتُکُمْ مِّنْ اَجْرٍ ط یعنی پھر اگر تم اس چیلنج کا سامنا نہ کرسکو اور میرے خلاف آخری اقدام کرنے کا حوصلہ بھی نہ کر پاؤ تو پھر ذرا ٹھنڈے دماغ سے سوچو تو سہی کہ میں پچھلے ساڑے نو سو سال سے تمہیں راہ راست پر لانے کی جو جدوجہد کررہا ہوں اس کے عوض میں نے تم لوگوں سے کوئی معاوضہ ‘ کوئی اُجرت ‘ کوئی تعریف و توصیف ‘ کوئی شاباش ‘ الغرض کچھ بھی طلب نہیں کیا۔ تو کیا میرے اس طرز عمل سے تم لوگوں کو اتنی سی بات بھی سمجھ نہیں آتی کہ اس میں میرا کوئی ذاتی مفاد نہیں ہے ؟ معلوم ہوتا ہے کہ وہ لوگ حضرت نوح کا چیلنج قبول کرکے ان کے خلاف اقدام کرنے سے گریزاں تھے۔ انہیں ڈر تھا کہ اگر ہم نے انہیں قتل کردیا تو ہم پر کوئی بڑی مصیبت نازل ہوجائے گی۔
