  1. وَمِنْهُمْاور ان میں سے
  2. مَّنْجو
  3. یَّسْتَمِعُوْنَکان لگاتے ہیں
  4. اِلَیْكَ ؕتیری طرف
  5. اَفَاَنْتَکیا بھلا تو
  6. تُسْمِعُسنوائے گا
  7. الصُّمَّبہروں کو
  8. وَلَوْاور اگرچہ
  9. كَانُوْاوہ ہوں
  10. لَانہ
  11. یَعْقِلُوْنَعقل رکھتے

Translation and commentary

Tafheem-ul-Quran

ان میں بہت سے لوگ ہیں جو تیری باتیں سُنتے ہیں ، مگر کیا تُو بہروں کو سُنائے گا خواہ وہ کچھ نہ سمجھتے ہوں؟1

  1. ایک سننا تو اس طرح کا ہوتا ہے جیسے جانور بھی آواز سن لیتے ہیں۔ دوسرا سننا وہ ہوتا ہے  جس میں معنی کی طرف توجہ ہو اور یہ آمادگی پائی جاتی ہو کہ بات اگر معقول ہو گی تو اسے مان لیا جائے گا ۔ جو لوگ کسی تعصب میں مبتلا ہوں ، اور جنہوں نے پہلے سے فیصلہ کر لیا ہو کہ اپنے موروثی عقیدوں اور طریقوں کے خلاف اور اپنے نفس کی رغبتوں  اور دلچسپیوں کے خلاف کوئی  بات ، خواہ وہ کیسی ہی معقول ہو، مان کر نہ دیں گے، وہ سب کچھ سن کر بھی نہیں سنتے۔ اسی طرح وہ لوگ بھی کچھ سن کر نہیں دیتے جو دنیا میں جانوروں کی طرح غفلت کی زندگی بسر کر تے ہیں اور چَرنے چُگنے کے سوا کسی چیز سے کوئی دلچسپی نہیں رکھتے، یا نفس کی لذتوں اور خواہشوں کے پیچھے ایسے مست ہوتے ہیں کہ انہیں اس بات کی کوئی فکر نہیں ہوتی کہ ہم یہ جو کچھ کر رہے ہیں یہ صحیح بھی ہے یا نہیں۔ ایسے لوگ کانوں کے تو بہرے نہیں ہوتے مگر دل کےبہرے ہوتے ہیں۔

Bayan-ul-Quran

اور ان میں ایسے لوگ بھی ہیں جو بڑی توجہ سے سنتے ہیں آپ (کی باتوں) کو۔ تو کیا آپ ﷺ بہروں کو سنا سکتے ہیں چاہے وہ عقل سے کام نہ لیتے ہوں !

Commentary

اَفَاَنْتَ تُسْمِعُ الصُّمَّ وَلَوْ کَانُوْا لاَ یَعْقِلُوْنَ یہ لوگ تو پہلے سے ہی نہ سننے کا تہیہ کیے ہوئے ہیں ‘ اس لیے ان کے کان حق کی طرف سے بہرے ہوچکے ہیں۔ ان کا آپ ﷺ کی باتوں کو سننا صرف دکھاوے کا سننا ہے تاکہ دوسرے لوگوں کو بتاسکیں کہ ہاں جی ہم تو محمد کی محفل میں بھی جاتے ہیں ‘ ساری باتیں بھی سنتے ہیں مگر ان میں ایسی کوئی بات ہے ہی نہیں جسے ماناجائے۔
