حَدَّثَنِي عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُعَاذٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، سَمِعَ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ، بْنَ أَبِي عُتْبَةَ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ، وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، وَأَحْمَدُ بْنُ سِنَانٍ، قَالَ زُهَيْرٌ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ أَبِي عُتْبَةَ، يَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيَّ، يَقُولُ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم أَشَدَّ حَيَاءً مِنَ الْعَذْرَاءِ فِي خِدْرِهَا وَكَانَ إِذَا كَرِهَ شَيْئًا عَرَفْنَاهُ فِي وَجْهِهِ .
عبداللہ بن ابی عتبہ نے کہا : میں نے ابو سعید خدری رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے سنا ، کہہ رہے تھے : رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم اس کنواری لڑکی سے زیادہ حیا کرنے والے تھے جو پردے میں ہوتی ہے ۔ جب آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کسی چیز کو ناپسند فرماتے تو ہمیں آپ کے چہرے سے اس کا پتہ چل جاتا ۔
