شعبہ نے سعید بن ابی بردہ سے انھوں نے اپنے والد سے انھوں نے حضرت ابو موسیٰ اشعری رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت کی ، کہا : رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے مجھے اور حضرت معاذ بن جبل رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ کو یمن کی طرف بھیجا میں نے عرض کی یا رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم !ہمارے علاقے میں جو سے ایک مشروب بنا یا جا تا ہے اس کو مزرکہتے ہیں اور ایک مشروب شہد سے بنا یا جا تا ہے اس کو بتع کہتے ہیں ۔ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرما یا : " ہر نشہ آور چیز حرام ہے ۔
