فضل بن سہل نے بتایا ، کہا : میں نے معلیٰ رازی سے محمد بن سعید کے بارے میں ، جس سے عباد بن کثیر نے روایت کی ، پوچھا تو انہوں نے مجھے عیسیٰ بن یونس کے حوالے سے بیان کیا ، کہا : میں اس کے دروزاے پر تھا ، سفیان اس کے پاس موجود تھے جب وہ باہر نکل گیا تو میں نے ان ( سفیان ) سے اس کے بارے میں پوچھا تو انہوں نے مجھے بتایا کہ وہ کذاب ہے ۔
