ابو زبیر نے حضر ت جابر رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت کی کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ نے فرمایا : ’’مجھے حکم دیا گیا ہے کہ میں لوگوں سے لڑوں یہاں تک کہ وہ لااله الا الله کے قائل ہو جائیں ، جب وہ لا اله الا الله کےقائل ہو جائیں گے تو انہوں نے میری طرف سے اپنے خون اور مال محفوظ کر لیے ، الا یہ کہ اس ( کلمے کے ) حق کا ( تقاضا ) ہو ، اور ان کاحساب اللہ کے سپرد ہے ۔ ‘ ‘ پھر آپ نے ( یہ آیت ) تلاوت فرمائی : ’’ آپ تو بس نصیحت کرنے والے ہیں ، آپ ان پر زبردستی کرنے والے نہیں ہیں ۔ ‘ ‘
