حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ، وَمَالِكِ بْنِ أَنَسٍ، قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ دِينَارٍ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عُمَرَ ـ رضى الله عنهما ـ يَقُولُ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " إِنَّ الْيَهُودَ إِذَا سَلَّمُوا عَلَى أَحَدِكُمْ إِنَّمَا يَقُولُونَ سَامٌ عَلَيْكَ. فَقُلْ عَلَيْكَ ".
ہم سے مسدد نے بیان کیا، انہوں نے کہا ہم سے یحییٰ بن سعید قطان نے، انہوں نے سفیان بن عیینہ، اور امام مالک سے، ان دونوں نے کہا ہم سے عبداللہ بن دینار نے بیان کیا، کہا میں نے عبداللہ بن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے سنا، وہ کہتے تھے نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا ”یہودی لوگ جب تم مسلمانوں میں سے کسی کو سلام کرتے ہیں تو «سام عليك.» کہتے ہیں تم بھی جواب میں «عليك» کہا کرو۔“
