حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي قَتَادَةُ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، قَالَ كَانَ بِالْمَدِينَةِ فَزَعٌ فَرَكِبَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَرَسًا لأَبِي طَلْحَةَ فَقَالَ " مَا رَأَيْنَا مِنْ شَىْءٍ، وَإِنْ وَجَدْنَاهُ لَبَحْرًا ".
ہم سے مسدد نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے یحییٰ نے بیان کیا، ان سے شعبہ نے، ان سے قتادہ نے اور ان سے انس بن مالک رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہ مدینہ منورہ پر ( ایک رات نامعلوم آواز کی وجہ سے ) ڈر طاری ہو گیا۔ چنانچہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ابوطلحہ کے ایک گھوڑے پر سوار ہوئے۔ پھر ( واپس آ کر ) فرمایا ”ہمیں تو کوئی ( خوف کی ) چیز نظر نہ آئی، البتہ یہ گھوڑا تو گویا دریا تھا۔“
