حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ عُقْبَةَ، عَنْ سَالِمٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم حِينَ ذَكَرَ فِي الإِزَارِ مَا ذَكَرَ، قَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّ إِزَارِي يَسْقُطُ مِنْ أَحَدِ شِقَّيْهِ. قَالَ " إِنَّكَ لَسْتَ مِنْهُمْ ".
ہم سے علی بن عبداللہ مدینی نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے سفیان بن عیینہ نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے موسیٰ بن عقبہ نے بیان کیا، ان سے سالم نے اور ان سے ان کے والد عبداللہ بن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما نے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو ازار لٹکانے کے بارے میں جو کچھ فرمانا تھا جب آپ نے فرمایا تو ابوبکر رضی اللہ عنہ نے عرض کیا کہ یا رسول اللہ! میرا تہمد ایک طرف سے لٹکنے لگتا ہے، تو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا کہ تم ان تکبر کرنے والوں میں سے نہیں ہو۔
