حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، غُنْدَرٌ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنِ الأَسْوَدِ بْنِ قَيْسٍ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ جُنْدَبًا الْبَجَلِيَّ، قَالَتِ امْرَأَةٌ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ مَا أُرَى صَاحِبَكَ إِلاَّ أَبْطَأَكَ. فَنَزَلَتْ {مَا وَدَّعَكَ رَبُّكَ وَمَا قَلَى}
ہم سے محمد بن بشار نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے محمد بن جعفر غندر نے، کہا ہم سے شعبہ نے، ان سے اسود بن قیس نے بیان کیا کہ میں نے جندب بجلی رضی اللہ عنہ سے سنا کہ ایک عورت ام المؤمنین خدیجہ رضی اللہ عنہا نے کہا کہ یا رسول اللہ! میں دیکھتی ہوں کہ آپ کے دوست ( جبرائیل علیہ السلام ) آپ کے پاس آنے میں دیر کرتے ہیں۔ اس پر آیت نازل ہوئی «ما ودعك ربك وما قلى» یعنی ”آپ کے پروردگار نے نہ آپ کو چھوڑا ہے اور نہ آپ سے وہ بیزار ہوا ہے۔“
