حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْجُعْفِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَامِرٍ عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ، حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ ـ هُوَ ابْنُ طَهْمَانَ ـ عَنْ أَبِي جَمْرَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، رضى الله عنهما قَالَ أَوَّلُ جُمُعَةٍ جُمِّعَتْ بَعْدَ جُمُعَةٍ جُمِّعَتْ فِي مَسْجِدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فِي مَسْجِدِ عَبْدِ الْقَيْسِ بِجُوَاثَى. يَعْنِي قَرْيَةً مِنَ الْبَحْرَيْنِ.
مجھ سے عبداللہ بن محمد الجعفی نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے ابوعامر عبدالملک نے بیان کیا، انہوں نے کہا کہ ہم سے ابراہیم نے بیان کیا، (یہ طہمان کے بیٹے ہیں۔) ان سے ابوجمرہ نے بیان کیا اور ان سے عبداللہ بن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما نے بیان کیا کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی مسجد یعنی مسجد نبوی کے بعد سب سے پہلا جمعہ جواثی کی مسجد عبدالقیس میں قائم ہوا۔ جواثی بحرین کا ایک گاؤں تھا۔
