حَدَّثَنَا مَكِّيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، حَدَّثَنَا هَاشِمُ بْنُ هَاشِمٍ، عَنْ عَامِرِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ لَقَدْ رَأَيْتُنِي وَأَنَا ثُلُثُ الإِسْلاَمِ،.
ہم سے مکی بن ابراہیم نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے ہاشم بن ہاشم نے بیان کیا، ان سے عامر بن سعد نے اور ان سے ان کے والد (سعد بن ابی وقاص رضی اللہ عنہ) نے بیان کیا کہ مجھے خوب یاد ہے۔ میں نے ایک زمانے میں مسلمانوں کا تیسرا حصہ اپنے آپ کو دیکھا۔ امام بخاری رحمہ اللہ نے کہا اسلام کے تیسرے حصے سے یہ مراد ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے ساتھ صرف تین مسلمان تھے جن میں تیسرا مسلمان میں تھا۔
