حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْوَلِيدِ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، سَمِعْتُ الْبَرَاءَ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَنْقُلُ وَيَقُولُ " لَوْلاَ أَنْتَ مَا اهْتَدَيْنَا ".
ہم سے ابوالولید نے بیان کیا ‘ کہا ہم سے شعبہ نے بیان کیا ‘ ان سے ابواسحاق نے ‘ انہوں نے براء بن عازب رضی اللہ عنہ سے سنا کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ( خندق کھودتے ہوئے مٹی ) اٹھا رہے تھے اور فرما رہے تھے کہ ” ( اے اللہ! ) اگر تو نہ ہوتا تو ہمیں ہدایت نصیب نہ ہوتی۔“ یعنی تو ہدایت گر نہ ہوتا تو نہ ملتی ہم کو راہ۔
