حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ فُضَيْلٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عَاصِمٌ الأَحْوَلُ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ قَالَ قَنَتَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم شَهْرًا حِينَ قُتِلَ الْقُرَّاءُ، فَمَا رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم حَزِنَ حُزْنًا قَطُّ أَشَدَّ مِنْهُ.
ہم سے عمرو بن علی نے بیان کیا ‘ ان سے محمد بن فضیل نے بیان کیا ‘ ان سے عاصم احول نے اور ان سے انس رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہ جب قاریوں کی ایک جماعت شہید کر دی گئی تو رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ایک مہینہ تک قنوت پڑھتے رہے۔ میں نے نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو کبھی نہیں دیکھا کہ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ان دنوں سے زیادہ کبھی غمگین رہے ہوں۔
